    1) Doesn't pineda have a cutter? Which he relies on often

    2) lincecum has a two seamer and Vulcan change... Not a splitter and sinker...

    3) doesn't koji have a splitter? Not a fork?

    4) doesn't greinke have a cutter?

    5) doesn't Fernandez have a slider apart from his curve? Which I heard is the best in the game (mlb, not this game)

    6) doesnt garret Richards have a cutter?

If any of these are true, not gonna ask for a completely new roster when these simple things can be edited individually. But would it be possible to get the attributes/numbers that go in each section for the pitches so I can edit them myself. Since you guys use your own formulas to determine each attribute, I'd like to stay true to your formulas. Thanks so much for the hard and arduous work you guys put in... I can see why you guys are so proud of your work and why you asked for our patience, so you guys could get it this amazing. Thanks so much!

These questions always come up. If you're not familiar with seanjeezy's pitch edits, you can search the boards and read up on his pitch type determination. If you check out brooksbaseball.com for instance, what Pineda or announcers call his "cutter", actually moves like a slider and that is replicated in the game. Brooks doesn't even list a cutter in Pineda's repertoire. Greinke no longer throws a "cutter" but an announcer might refer to his slider as one. When I pitched I threw a "forkball" but also called it a "splitter." Call the pitch what you want but in the Show that specific pitch's movement might be best reproduced as a different pitch.

Motown has posted his Marcus Stroman in the player vault and is really good

Re: 2014 OSFM HYBRID ROSTER - V3 Released

Oh yeah, that makes perfect sense. I was not aware of how sanjeezy determined the pitch type for every player, im new to these rosters and also sanjeezys method, but I understand now. I also pitch, so I'm used to thinking if you say cutter or forkball I immediately think of the grip/release/arm slot or arm action that it comes out of. so if its a cutter, its that specific grip amd angle with which it comes out of that makes it matter to me, even if the pitch has way more break than a usual cutter to me its still a cutter cuz when I actually throw the slider it has even more break and its slower than the cutter... Same applies between my slider and one of my curveballs. But it makes sense that in the game its using sanjeezys method, cuz there what matters most is the break and the effect the ball has, not the grip. So that eliminates pretty much All my questions except for one... Fernandez curve and slider are 2 different pitches. Yes they both can look similar, but the effect and more importantly, the velocity of both is fairly different.

                @Willard76:

Please don't forget to post the PS3 offline file that I requested last night. It would be greatly greatly appreciated. Hopefully you can get that done for me today but whenever you have time. Just let me know if you can't get to it today so I'll know that I need to wait a while longer.

I'm just anxious to getting my franchise started with this roster set. Thanks bud! If you could import the latest Stroman from Motown into the roster before sending me the file that would be great too!

Awesome I made the first page!!!! My equipment edits must have been the most important part of this roster!!

In all seriousness teeds, Willard and WTNY did an outstanding job and worked very hard at this project. This is coming from someone who has seen the 50+ page google doc they used to track their edits

Great job guys! I'm pumped to use these!

Thanks to everyone for the work involved. I'm not a roster editor so I want to make sure I understand the above statement. Is there an overall rating that we need to edit for each player or is it going through all ratings for each player and taking 5/10 off? First option wouldn't be too bad...seems like the second option would take quite a bit of time.

When is this done? Pre draft or post draft?

These rosters are perfect and so much work and passion were put into them. It is greatly appreciated! The Mets added Dario Alvarez to their 40man and the Indians signed Russell Branyan with most likely the intention of bringing him up later. Will these two be added to the vault?

You can't edit overall specifically. Overall is the output of all of a given player's attributes, so to influence overall you have to change the attributes. For example, if a guy is a 68 OVR and you want him to be a 62, you could drop his contact...or his power...or his defense...or his speed...etc. If you were just to edit overall that wouldn't tell the game in what way the player should play better or worse. So you have to edit the attributes to be specific.

You can't touch the drafted players pre-draft and they only come available the season after you draft them. So even right after the draft, you can't edit them. I think this nicely simulates sending guys to rookie ball although there is no rookie ball level.

Also, I still don't think there's really any good data out there on exactly how the draft picks turn out long term and if those SCEA creations are significantly higher rated than OSFM players or not. If someone has some good, reliable non-anecdotal data, I'd love to see it--or if there is a thread with the same in it.
