I can't wait to play with the 98 Yanks! What a year to start watching the Yankees. I was 8 in 98, and I fell in love with baseball. Didn't miss a single radio broadcast that year and in fact, my streak is still alive to this day! I'm sure I'll miss a game at some point in my life, but it hasn't happened since that first game in 98.

I will admit I'd be a little bit let down if these don't carry over.
Also, after tonight there will be 3 teams left. Hoping for a Sunday release.I post the frog

I think Franchise files might carry over. How would that be different than a regular roster save?Comment

re: Official 1998 Thread - In vault and game ready
Some guys claim it will just transition, some claim you may need to start a franchise with these sets and export them, and some guys (like myself) have no idea what to believe and just keep their fingers crossed.
Unless they have proof or know something most of us don't straight from SCEA, I don't think anything is known for fact yet on how these will work on next years game.
Unfortunately we'll probably have to wait until spring before anything can or will be confirmed.I post the frog

Wasn't this roster carryover thing supposed to be a selling point going forward? I know I heard something. They need to make it real clear. Anyone know why the roster that you download out of the vault all contain a number of X's in the description of the roster?Comment

re: Official 1998 Thread - In vault and game ready
What I will be doing to carry over all my classic rosters is keep a save log since we can't custom name our franchise/season mode files.
1. I will log the date of the specific roster franchise/season file (e.g.: 1998 = save date of 2/20/15)
2. Once MLB 15 is released I will one by one upload each file from 14 to the cloud (you can only upload one franchise file one season file and one RTTS file at a time). Then one by one download each file onto the new game.
It is a tedious task...but I don't care because we can keep these rosters going year to year now by doing this. Now Playing on PS5:
