Still doesn't work. I tried to paste AllPlayers_rnge in and it still disappears as soon as I click another box?

Okay, turn on design mode and then click on the 'Insert' button next to the design mode button. Under ActiveX controls, click the first icon (called command button), go somewhere on the sheet and try to draw the button (left-click and draw).
Let me know if you are able to do this or you get an error.Comment

Try this:
Close Excel and navigate to
C:\Users\[user.name]\AppData\Local\Temp\Excel8.0\MSForms.exd
and
C:\Users\[user.name]\AppData\Local\Temp\VBE\MSForms.exd
Delete the MSForms.exd file. The above folders are hidden so you'll need to unhide them to see them first.
Once you've done this, restart excel and let me know if the problem continues.Comment

This is the only one that popped up and I deleted it:

Re: The JT Roster Builder Utility (beta) - Download Link Included
Okay I will have to look into this further. I'm not giving up.
In the meantime you can try to revert to a previous version of excel 2013. Looks like the offending update is KB2553154, which you can look for in the control panel>programs and features and then click on 'view installed updates'.
There should be instructions on the web on how to revert, or you can uninstall excel and then reinstall it, but if you do this make sure to shut off automatic updates or Windows will reinstall the problematic update once again.
Keep me updated in this thread as to what you're doing and what happens as a result.
Microsoft has a history of breaking things in Office apps with updates. My 2007 version will no longer query the web because of this. Many developers on the web are infuriated because this apparently happens quite often.Comment

Okay I was able to reproduce part of the problem we've seen. Try putting AllPlayers_rnge in again, but this time make sure you hit enter after typing or pasting before you close the window.
See what happens.
EDIT: I'm 99% sure at this point that the problem is, in fact, my own fault on not an issue with Excel. Sorry to put you through this trouble. Looks like clicking on the search filter and load team button in certain combinations is the source of the problem. I'm working on a solution.
EDIT #2: I've attached a new file. See if this works.Attached FilesLast edited by JTommy67; 05-15-2015, 02:01 PM.Comment

Re: The JT Roster Builder Utility (beta) - Download Link Included
Sorry to be meticulous. I need to be sure when exactly Excel is rejecting the value. So, I need to be sure that you're 1) typing/pasting the value in, 2) pressing enter<enter>, and then 3) closing the window.</enter>
It makes a difference as to what's actually happening. If Excel doesn't recognize the range, then the field will blank out immediately after you press enter. If it sticks, then I can move on to the next step.
Thanks for your patience. We'll get this to work!Comment

Not sure what you mean "click on another box." You mean another field in the properties window?
