The negative with carrying over a franchise file from 14 to 15 is that when you get to an off-season, you have to manually resign or offer arbitration to every player on your roster. I had free agents and contracts to auto and most of my team was gone. Not sure if this is a result of the transfer or the AI mgt in 15. I'm assuming the former being a roster from 14 is being used. Other than that, I like the y2y saves. If anything, it'll hold me over till the hybrid 15 roster comes out.
What I recommend is to use last year's hybrid set that already has ratings and pitch edits completed. Granted they won't be as current as the 15 hybrid roster when finished. There are a few on the vault in 14 that have been updated from that roster. I'm using the latest by sookiebunnie. What I did was take that roster, use it in a 14 franchise, set roster control to on, then sim the season and playoffs. Save right before it asks to go to the off-season. Take that file upload it to cloud. Boot up 15, continue franchise from 14. You'll be right where you left off. Proceed to the off-season. This is where you most likely going to have to make sure all of your players are offered contracts. For whatever reason, having it on auto messes up things and you wind up having hardly any players on your team. This is why you have to manually go over contracts for every player. Takes like 10 minutes. Most are minor leaguers and you just offer the minimum and worry about it your next offseason. And doing it this exact way, your 15 season will start from the actual 15 schedule.
