To add to this, the truth is most (I'd say roughly 90%) of major league pitchers throw a circle change or a variation of it in which they only make a half circle as their primary change up. Very few guys use a traditional straight change as their primary change up these days. Also, the change up is probably the hardest pitch to figure out how to rate in this game because alot of pitchers throw multiple types of change ups depending on what they're trying to do but they're all so similar that pitch fx has no way to differentiate them.

Re: Bastardized Pitch Edits 2015
I don't know about OSFM v1 but I plan on putting them into Willard's roster and going to town.
Finished up the re-edits tonight. Some book keeping stuff left to do on RFBs and forkballs and a whole bunch of guys to create but the real time consuming piece is now done!Comment

Re: Bastardized Pitch Edits 2015
Are they already going to be in Willard's roster when released or are you just inputting them yourself after it is released?Comment

Re: Bastardized Pitch Edits 2015
So this on topic but sort of a sideways issue. I'm into 2021 in my offline franchise and I have been forced to edit pitcher ratings and potential to maintain the integrity as far as A,B.C,D players etc..
so I have been editing changes to the 10-12mph FB-CH spd differential.. any systems/formulas for lack of better terms for movement and control based on WHICH pitch the change is
..example circle/ 2nd over say square/4th so by rights the guy with change as their 2nd pitch has better ratings than the guy with his change as the 4th or 5th best pitch? Obviously they would be better just trying to determine by how much..thoughts?MLB The Show Hybrid Roster ContributorComment

Re: Bastardized Pitch Edits 2015
I was thinking something like 3rd pitch mvmt and control is no higher than say 65, 4th pitch 50, 5th 40 something along those lines and this is just for change ups keep in mind. your thoughts?MLB The Show Hybrid Roster ContributorComment

Re: Bastardized Pitch Edits 2015
I Understand what you are saying but I am talking 4 year plus into franchise mode when the crazy pitcher attribute progression kicks in you have lots of guys with bugs bunny type changes as their 3rd, 4th or 5th pitch and the game doesn't give you pitch usage stats. I was just looking for a little guidance or thoughts on how to combat in a way that's too complex..

Re: Bastardized Pitch Edits 2015
If we don't hear back from seanjeezy soon, I will volunteer to input the edits into OSFM v2 since the TC is concentrating on the Willard/hybrid roster. I have a ton of time off work coming up so I could probably hammer them out in a matter of a few days.Comment

Re: Bastardized Pitch Edits 2015
That would be awesome, 55! Having Willards roster (I think his will be done first out of the three being worked on?) plus the pitch edits only a couple days after release. That is very much appreciated, man. I would love to help and feel guilty I cant, but I work so much that I really only have time to squeeze in a game every few days or so. That is why it takes me so long to finish a season (I play all 162 games, every inning, no QC). You and others like you that help the community are very appreciated!Comment

Re: Bastardized Pitch Edits 2015
It's no problem at all. Ridin, Quest, seanjeezy, Willard, Motown, WTNY, redsfan4life and all the people who helped work on OSFM deserve all the credit. I'll merely be doing data entry that those dudes have already compiled. As far as this type of stuff goes, those dudes are up on the 44th floor wheeling and dealing while I'm down in the mailroom just sorting through stuff.Comment

Is it possible for Ridin to get them on one roster if we split the work?Comment
