I was the 7th person to download v1.2 last night (eager beaver) right as it came out. I started my Red Sox franchise and was a little surprised at the overall ratings. For example, Shane Victorinio is rated like 5th best player on the team or something like that. Similarly, for the AAA team, a D-potential player is rated highest on the AAA team. Just in general, I was very surprised by the overall ratings, which seem to be jumbled up in certain instances. I play on the PS3, so I just want to verify that this isn't a PS3 thing, and that these are the actual ratings. Also want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Also, can someone remind me how to make it so that the lineups don't get all screwed up after simming spring training? I prefer to only control the Red Sox in my franchise, not all 30 teams. Thanks!

    I tried using this chart...

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?pli=1#gid=4

But a lot of things looked different.

EDIT: If you would rather not share this information, I completely understand that as well. This is mostly just me being curious. The K/9 for pitchers is on a much different scale and I found it to be very interesting how drastic some of the rating adjustments are on this roster. The results are great.

Unfortunately it's not our info to share. Waittilnextyear created the ratings and because of the many ripoff versions of our rosters it was decided understandably to take access away.

What I can tell you is the ratings are based on real life stats and are as true as you will find for realistic gameplay. It's probably better not to focus on ratings as much as just enjoy the roster, we did all the hard work so no one has to focus and can just play.

Revision Roster V2 is now available in the vault.

      PSN Crapinmyshoe

      Notes about this version

I did a handful of minor equipment edits to v1.2, nothing else.

Contracts were done not taking into account options unless we knew for a fact that option would be picked up.

Many thanks go out to Waittilnextyear and Totte for creating the contracts spreadsheet and getting me the info to input.

I am officially done edits for a while.

Hope everyone enjoys the roster this year, it was a lot of work but so worth it.

Also thank you to everyone for your kind donations to RMH Toronto. It is a cause that will always stay close to my heart.

Thanks Willard! I will download V2, at some point today and will restart my Pittsburgh Pirates Offline Franchise. Wanted to ask you, would you recommend anybody playing a 162 Game Franchise/Season, or just a 82 Game Season now, because I am already two months down. Please let me know. Thanks.

Thanks for all your hard work Willard. Best of luck to you and your family.

So for version 2, is it recommended to turn off budgets? I'm playing with 30 team control regardless. But I'd like to avoid a ton of heavy lifting with the computer teams if possible

That depends on how much time you have. Lol

I tend to play my franchise by ear, sim games or series I'm not as interested in playing.

I really have not done a ton of research into budgets but from what I have read yes.

Just played 3 great, dynamic games. Lost all of them and still had fun. Damn Red Sox starters are appropriately awful.

Something I have noticed when going through these rosters is that there are not a lot of A potential players (which is good because there shouldn't be and if anything there should be even less A potential players), but the amount of B potential players seems to be very high.

I feel like there should be a lot more C players and B's need to be toned back.

Perhaps I do not know enough about how potentials work. How likely is a B potential player to increase to a 85-90 overall rating in a franchise? How about an A potential player? And a C?

                              EDIT:

Ok, to sort of answer my own question, players with A potential seem to obviously have the best futures.

A potential players typically end up rapidly becoming 90 overall players.

High B potential players (85-89) typically reach the upper 80's and never get into the 90's.

Low B's stay in the lower 80s.

C's stay in the 70's....and so on.

That all seems very logical, and it actually looks like it works the way it is supposed to work. I am impressed with the progression system this year. I am impressed because it actually works the way it is supposed to work. Typically progression systems are a mess by the 5th year of any sports game franchise. MLB The Show looks pretty solid this season.

I hate how as soon as you advance into the regular season from spring training, all of the lineups and rotations get messed up, even with 30 teams control and lineups and rotations set to manual.
