What Is it you don't like about the pitch edits and classic pitching? I admit I am new to this game but the combination of this set and armour and swords slider set with classic pitching is giving me a great game. Not having a dig just interested why

I guess there isn't a version of these rosters were its opening day without the real life contracts?

Hey willard, totte and the rest, is it me but is the pitch edit glitch a headache? who did pitch edits and how did you mange to get the right speeds entered in without it constantly messing up? I can get most of the pitches close but then one o them throws it off. I have a lot of created players/ pitchers to import onto my roster and once i import a pitcher i go and do the pitch edits then but came across this headache this morning, its very discouraging at the moment if im going to have toe issues with every created pitcher.

Just curious how you guys dealt with that problem and got around it so the pitchers actually have accurate numbers on there pitches without this glitch.

Hey Willard. I have gone back and forth on what rosters to use for franchise and I am pretty dissatisfied with SCEA's hitting and fielding ratings. I think those are great in your revision.

But I am a little confused about the stealing ratings of the revision. I see players like Michael Cuddyer and Encarnacion with 80 rating in stealing. I know they have a high steal % for their career which is why I assume that was done, but won't that high of a rating cause them to attempt steals more often? They each had 1 steal attempt last season and no one expects them to steal any bases this year. I know if they were to steal they would probably get caught with their low speed, but I am worried because I use auto-baserunning and would hate to see them take off while I am batting.

I see that you changed the scale of the stealing rating, making 50 the average. This seems to be a very different scale than SCEA used where most non-base stealers hung around the 10-20 range. Now players that don't ever steal start at 50. Perhaps I don't fully understand what the stealing rating does for gameplay and simming.

I have tried that already one of the first things I thought of but every pitch after the first one in order goes of the velocity bar from what ive seen. I got it figured out somehwat just half to get pitches as close as I can not always the actual speed I need is the best i can do I guess.

I will retry this doing the change ups and sliders first and see if it works this time. Thanks bud.

I'm almost positive that auto-base running and CPU steal frequency is based off of the Base Running Aggressiveness rating, not stealing.

Correct, I have not seen anything weird so far in my franchise - if anything I am seeing some extreme realism. Many thanks to all who contributed to make this possible.

I think guys like Carson Fulmer are MLB ready and their ratings should be reflective of that, any other guys you think should be there too?
Tyler Jay of the Twins is supposed to be the most MLB ready prospect in the entire draft class. He is expected to be up in the bullpen by the end of the year if the Twins are still competing for a playoff spot. However, he is projected as a starter long term and isn't expected to debut as a starter until 2017-2018.

yeah I read that he and Carson Fulmer are the most MLB ready prospects and they're both rated in the lower 60s. Fuller is a starter because that what he was for most of the year and Jay is a closer because that was his role from like the middle of the season on.

Yes I would agree, but the Twins have stated that their plan is to eventually try and develope Tyler Jay as a starter. It is extremely rare that a pitcher selected in the top ten, (he was drafted 6th) regardless of their role in college, isn't at least given a chance to start.

I'll look up some info about that and then possibly change him to a SP before I release the roster to the vault

I will see if I can find time to do it. No promises. Maybe see if Motown or Moss can jump on them. Parmley I think I put on my Jays2 roster. If it's not there let me know, I will stick him in the player vault.
