I love it when I play a franchise with killer rosters and accurate minors, and then jumble them up in a fantasy draft. Then I get to pilot a franchise the composition of which I am 100 percent responsible.

I am always tempted to do that, but it is too weird to see my favorite players playing on rival teams. I draft most of my teams players anyway. So it makes more sense for me to just do a normal franchise to start with.

I have seen people make "fantasy" rosters with players who are completely imagined so that none of the real players remain. That would be a fun fantasy draft to do, but I havent seen any rosters like that for mlb 15 yet.

I'm interested in doing a draft edition of V1.3, Willard.

Kris Bryant was the best 3B in the Cubs organization from the moment he signed with them.

Carlos Rodon and Aaron Nola were both drafted last June, and Rodon has already debuted, with Nola not far away.

Brandon Finnegan was pitching for KC last season, months after being drafted.

Schwarber and Conforto are both around the corner.

Zunino, Gausman, Wacha, and Stroman from the 2012 draft all flew through the minors.

The top H.S. talent takes an additional year or two compared to college guys, but the time it takes for highly regarded players to advance through the minor leagues can be exaggerated at times.

That being said, I would only add the top players taken last night.

Swanson, Fulmer, Bregman, Benintendi, Jay, Harris, and Happ are all basically locks to sign and can be added with confidence.

Guys like Rodgers, Tate, Tucker, Clark, Russell, Whitley, and Stephenson are all likely to sign as well and most of those names could move at a decent pace.

You did just somewhat make my point. 10% from the last 3 years are currently a factor. I agree that some players are worth getting excited about, I have Max Pentecost and Hoffman in my Jays roster this year.

I do the same, I usually just add them in my second season to replace the fake draft picks

However, this is a video game after all. You are free to do as you wish with your team(in fact I just called up Michael Conforto, the Mets 1st rd. pick last year in my 'chise). Unless your playing 100% true to life...anything can happen

I am curious to see how that works out for you, although if I remember right Conforto was slightly more advanced ratings wise, because the new progression system may punish you for bringing players up too quickly.

Ok, which version of the roster are you going to use for your base, just so everyone knows

Let's make the Draft version v3.0 - and in the description call it Draft Version

I would only recommend using draftees that have signed.

I appreciate you wanting to do this. There are many I am sure that will join me in the appreciation. If you need any help, let me know.

I can upload a generic 2015 1st round pitcher and position player to the vault if you want an accurate base to work with

EDIT: I just uploaded a generic pitcher and position player drafted both in the 1st round of the 2015 MLB draft and exported from franchise, feel free to use these as a base if you want it to say 2015 First Year Player Draft 1st Round in franchise. They are under my PSN lxl_Port_lxl

Oh by saying I was willing to do I meant I was willing to help. I wish I had the time to take on a full project but due to work and school (knocking out some summer courses), I can only help a 2-3 times a week for a few hours.

As a suggestion, I know DBush has been making draft rosters for years. Maybe send him a PM about making a collab project? Always loved his draft rosters.

Re: 2015 OSFM REVISION ROSTER v1 - Released

                    Dear Willard,

First Thank you and all the others who put in so much effort into this roster and the continuing efforts to update it.

I just wanted to add that I agree with the philosophy of including all of both the AAA and AA players instead of adding more prospects from the lower levels. In fact I would prefer, with only a few exceptions, to refrain from including any players who only played in the GCL or short season the year before. Often we see players at this level tear the cover off the ball and get labelled perhaps a B prospect only to see them falter at the A level or above. In fact in my five years helping Ivanhoe with the Detroit portion of the OSFM roster I have only seen one player who, based on being only in the GCL the year before, deserved to be included and that was Avisail Garcia. At least that is my view.

Thanks again for all your efforts.

What were you thinking of in terms of draftees? 1st rounders? 2nd rounders? 3rd rounders? So far I am taking boomersooner's CAPs and taking pictures of every aspect of their face and then creating their faces over 2015 draft prospect molds and so far I am completed through the Red Sox pick of CF Andrew Benintendi, I have been trying to bang out a couple of guys a night but the process (as I'm sure you are well aware) is very time consuming. I am limited in terms of prospects I can do this for because boomer didn't create every player drafted on day 1 but the work he did do is phenomenal, up there with the likes of Motown and Moss

But what I am saying is that a lot of players can come up quick and contribute. So if some can do it in real life, everyone is going to want to rush their prospects up through the minors in the video game. lol

True. But the developers made the game this year to hurt you for doing that. It was in one of the prerelease video blogs. I would love to rush my prospects because with the Jays - most of the talent is in the lower minors and yes with the game players can overachieve, and I really would love to see it happen with all these guys I spent hours creating or altering. I'm just a guy who likes realism in the game. That's why I spend so many hours getting it that way.

There's a roster in the vault called "#OSFM Revision" with the description being, "No injuries+Draft Picks". Uploader is named EmbraceThaPace.

Downloaded it last night and it had all of the 1st rounders and some in there. The prospects look pretty decent too. Maybe message him and work on a collab?

I am torn on what rosters to use -

Did you all know about this when creating this set?

There is, however, a major issue with editing any player with an off speed pitch (changeup, circle change, vulcanchange or palmball) that causes all of his other pitches to increase and/or decrease in speed. Every player with an offspeed pitch needs to be edited twice (sometimes thrice!) to assure everything is just right.
