    Re: Turn Back the Clock:1965

Six classic stadiums(the PS3 six from the past) are confirmed for 2016 on the PS4!
Hopefully....they continue to add to them each year!

    Crosley
    Shibe
    Polo Grounds
    Griffith
    Sportsman's
(and the last one I can't remember! )

Are you still planning on releasing this for MLB 15'?

I think, but do not know for sure, that we may see this in time for a port over to MLBTS 16 which would be just great!

I'm having such a hard time finding extra time for editing.
I still work at least a little bit almost every night....it's not like I usually do when I'm editing where I can get a team done in 2 or 3 at the most "shifts"(nights)

            I'm about halfway done.

              About halfway is GREAT !

Does that mean a Playoff Version with 5 AL & 5 NL teams is on the horizon soon ?

This creation of yours is a much awaited Mod and will be another fabulous one of yours !

              Thanks,

I hadn't been working like that....but I will switch to getting teams 1-10 done first.
Out of those I think I have six of them already completed.....off the top...
                Minn....LAN....SF.....CWS....Pitt....Cincy.

                            Knight165,

I would consider any 5 AL & 5 NL teams as a good Playoff Version. It doesn't have to be the 5 Best Records in each league.

                            Thanks Mike,

                              Hey fellas....

I will have a 9 team(I'll explain in a second! ) playoff set for you guys to use.

                              Somehow...I entirely lost Cleveland!
I think it was because I initially did Cleveland.....then wanted to NOT use any 1965 team to play practice games on....so I imported the 1975 Mets onto what I thought was my edited set....I guess I did it on a base set that didn't have Cleveland and I can't find that edit anywhere, so I must have written over it. Ha...rookie mistake!!!

Anyway I'll have a set that has the top 9 teams minus Cleveland(and the '75 Mets)
I set up a new formula that lends a little more offense and less K's to the set.
My "modern" formula(what is needed to keep the O.S.F.M. in line with SCEA generated players) is a bit pitch heavy(even for a 1960 set IMO......I noticed it especially after years and years of simming to get the stats for players....pitchers with phenomenal career ERA...WHIP and K numbers)
You won't be able to really tell(and I will probably adjust anyway) until all teams are done....there are my stat producing players on teams not completed....you'll figure it out when you see them.

                              M.K.

                                Re: Turn Back the Clock:1965

Man ! Do I understand the frustration when that happens. Just recently I was working on the beginning of a '70s set and first did Boston '75 & Cincinnati '75. Then later did Oakland '73 & Pittsburgh '72. Somehow when I went back to work on it I had lost both Oakland & Pittsburgh as I too must have saved over that roster while also working on the Late '60s set. That's when, in frustration, I just take a few days or weeks off to recapture the lost enthusiasm of it all.

I am anxiously awaiting your '65 Playoff version.

Yesterday I uploaded Late '60s V1.0 which consist of the 25 Man Teams for the 24 selected franchises that existed between '65-'69 (included the '64 Yankees as part of that set as they didn't have any team I was interested in between '65-'69). I only have the 6 non existing franchises to complete for the season ready version. Those are what I refer to as ERA Combo teams which consist of players that played in the majors but aren't represented on any of the 24 existing franchise teams. Currently those 6 ERA Combo teams are filled with the Early '60s set Combo teams.

I certainly will be using many players from your '65 completed set to fill the rosters of those 6 remaining Late '60s Combo teams especially since you create all players on a team that had an appearance in the majors during that season. Then what I do is rate each of those players with their most representative season of their career.

Anxious for the arrival of MLB The Show 16 but certainly still very much enjoying 15. My biggest interest in 16 will be the ability to easily transfer an entire MLBTS 15 roster set without them incorporating any adjustments to the ratings, accessories and/or personal traits as they did with the Franchise/Season mode transfers process.

But of course those Classic Stadiums will be nice as well.

Thanks Knight ....... your work is greatly appreciated and equally admired !
