You probably saw this but the Cubs signed Shane Victorino to a minor league deal with spring training invite.

Quick question but do these have full minors? Sorry if this has been addressed before.

I saw the Victorino move. I'm on the MLB Trade Rumors daily. I do weekly updates but I believe he's on the Cubbies in v8.

Yes it is full minors. Including lots of new CAPs that I created myself, my own ratings system and lots of adjusted potentials.

Hey Bacon, quick question. I was watching the stream tonight and I was really intrigued about the new morale system. But now I am even more concerned that "real" contracts wont work because now they will also inflate the morale of all of the players artificially?

Is any of this new info have you leaning towards to a roster with default contracts for '16?

Just curious, I am really not trying to start the drama up again. I am just interested in your opinion on the changes to Franchise Mode for next year and how it will affect you roster and the creation of the roster.

Just curious, I am really not trying to start the drama up again. I am just interested in your opinion on the changes to Franchise Mode for next year and how it will affect you roster and the creation of the roster.

I actually have class at 4 CT so I haven't gotten around to watching the twitch stream yet. As of right now, I'm slightly more interested to be watching ST games on MLB Network.

Ever since I saw the screenshot of King Felix that got leaked, I feared that this would be true. I also saw on reddit that you can't turn off morale either. Hopefully they could patch that if they find problems with accurate contracts like we likely all believe.

On the topic of starting stuff, don't worry about it. I'm all for the drama. That's what makes this so much more fun lol (not really) but I want to know what people think of my work and how I could improve upon it.

I was already leaning towards default salaries for my roster in MLB16 despite the poll.

As for the can of worms that I just now opened up, I'd like to remind people that I am just one man so the roster that I create may take a while to get done as I have a life and also enjoy playing the game not just creating rosters. So I feel like somewhere in late May/early June could be a realistic release date for my roster in MLB16.

So I took a quick look at the stream. I realized that when they brought up Gerrit Cole he is by default getting paid $1.7 and wants $4.8. IRL he's only getting paid around $530k or something like that. I don't think real contracts will work with the new player morale system.

See that is what I was thinking as well. I think that the SCEA guys, since that can't use real dollar values, use salaries to balance things a little more to fit in the fictional world of the game.

Making a roster with real salaries just throws all of that out of whack, in my opinion. Not to mention the fact that they have added revenue sharing and luxury tax into the mix this year. I just don't see a way to balance the game or even to get "real" salaries to work in any way.

Hey Bacon, not sure if your roster is the same one going on the OSFM rosters. (Still fairly new to who makes what) but I was thinking, if you're OSFM you should make a roster for offline franchise (fake salaries) and one for online franchise (real salaries) since online franchise won't have player moral and is the exact same as last year. Let me know hat you think!

Sure man, I'll give a quick explanation as well as some of my first thoughts about realistic contracts and such.

I am part of the OSFM crew. I'll be creating the Milwaukee Brewers minor leaguers (http://www.operationsports.com/forum...e-brewers.html) or I should probably say that I'm basically done with the players that will be in the minors for Colorado Springs/Biloxi in MLB2016.

As for the Bacon96 roster, it is based off the original OSFM set but it's technically my own project. One of the issues with this being a solo project is that I may not have enough time for both sets like you suggested and it would be really tedious to jump back and forth to adjust both rosters. I think another issue with your idea is that it isn't really a high priority (at least for myself) and it seems like there aren't a whole lot of people who actually play online franchise in comparison to offline.

In short, I'll only be creating one roster for MLB16. It won't have accurate to life salaries because I believe the game is supposed to play with their default salaries and that's why we've seen some real issues with franchise. I hope this answers your question and I'm sorry for anyone who wanted accurate salaries for my new iterations in MLB16.

I have downloaded v8 and it looks great just curious if you will be putting v9 out there soon with Austin Jackson now added to CWS. I was also curious if you were going to add Carlos Quentin the the MN Twin. Looking forward to v9 soon so I can start Spring Training on my franchise. Thanks for all you do bacon96
