Hey Bacon, I was wondering what rosters you plan on using for MLB16? Are you going to use the OSFM rosters that they are currently working on or are you going to use your rosters & transfer them over in a franchise? Thanks

Good question. I actually haven't thought about that all too much. I'll likely play a lot of DD in April and then start doing some rosterwork throughout April but not really start until may. The base will likely be one of the live roster updates that SDS puts out weekly. Then I'll import select players from the OSFM roster and guys who I like more or are missing from my Bacon96 roster update. So to answer your question, yes? Once I start my franchise, it will be a hybrid between the two...

Thanks for the reply. I don't know what I am going to do. I really love using your rosters. I really don't want to wait for the pitch edits to come out. With work, wife, kids, etc. I don't get much playing time in. I like to start when OD does. If I wait, I start getting really behind. Plus it doesn't help when I see a new roster come out & then I want to restart my franchise. I just have to pick one & go & ignore my ocd about the rosters😀

Casey Sadler is actually a free agent. He was released by Pittsburgh December 30th. You already have that correct.

Wikipedia has incorrect information as well. When you put in Lars Anderson it says he's a free agent, but he's actually with the Dodgers and has been the last 2 seasons.

Best way to view if a player is still with a team is go to Baseball America and search for the player. Once you are on his player page click on career transactions tab and it tells you everything you need to know.

Casey Sadler is actually a free agent. He was released by Pittsburgh December 30th. You already have that correct.

Pirates immediately resigned Sadler to a Minor League deal after they released him (needed to redo his contract because he will miss all of 2016 with injury). So he's still in the system. Pirates did the same thing with Angel Sanchez.

Ahhhhh I see. I stand corrected. I knew about Sanchez, but I didn't see anything on Sadler until now.

Personally, I use MLB.com. If you go to a player profile and scroll all the way to the bottom, it has their transaction history.

Thanks Bacon for all your hard work with the rosters, I am gonna use your rosters in MLB 16 to export players over using the CPU roster control trick so I can start a fracnhise while waiting for OSFM in teh coming weeks I might end up just exporting them all myself! wish we could do roster transfer from 15 to 16 to save the exporting work!

Bacon I just want to say I appreciate everything you have done. I am not anal about any of this, and this roster set will save me some money for a PS3 version of the new game.

Thanks man. I'm glad you like and use my work.

Just to clarify, the roster was uploaded to the MLB 15 The Show roster vault and I don't plan on transferring it all over immediately after MLB16 officially comes out on Tuesday.

I will however construct another roster for MLB16 that includes most elements of this roster but I'm only one person and I like to enjoy playing the game too. I'm thinking that a late May/early June release date for the new roster would be realistic.

Long story short, I'm super anal about those rosters and try to be as exact as possible. So, with that said, how "anal" are you with yours? I don't plan on buying the show 16, but I own 15 right now. I'd like to have current rosters and as "real" as possible. Thank you in advance for your response.

I don't personally like the term 'anal' but yes to the fullest extent, I try to make all the rosters as accurate as possible. I've gotten a little lazy the last few weeks while waiting for MLB16 so there are some blank players here and there but they retire in the first year of franchise so I don't think they're an issue. And I'm really not trying to be biased but I think my roster is the best one you could find in the vault as far as faces, equipment and ratings are concerned which is basically everything you'd want in a roster. Also once MLB16 comes out, I will no longer be doing updates so the roster posted in the vault tomorrow evening will be my final on this game.

Sounds awesome! Thank you. I'm basically looking for the best roster to start my season off. I will make the moves and edits as I need to from there. Just needed a good starting off point!

I dont see the roster in the vault is it under a another name.
