I get that, but the AJ Reed thing makes no sense. He's the top rated first baseman in baseball. There was an oversight made somehow, which is bound to happen with so many prospects.

I understand that. Like I said in the first paragraph, I can make the changes myself. But I'm curious what formula they used to get that rating because it is off, it's not an opinion.

AJ Reed batted .340 with 34 HRs and 127 RBIs in 135 games between A+ and AA ball. Look at this career numbers:

      http://www.baseball-reference.com/re...d=reed--000and

With the ratings given, he's a below average MLB hitter. I just don't see how that makes sense. And if the ratings were so off on him, what makes me think the ratings aren't so off on other players? I mean, come on, can we agree that a 56 OVR for AJ Reed is just a little low? It doesn't take a MLB scout to figure that one out.

I respect the makers of this project immensely. Hell, I contributed to this year's product with equipment edits for the Astros. I helped the past few years with other projects here at OSFM, including the SBFM rosters as well as the Hybrid roster. The ratings for players are just... off. Like they were randomized somehow. Maybe it's a glitch with the Roster Vault that's causing some players to have random ratings? Idk.

We have been spoiled with high ratings. He is in what? AA ball now? He has potential. But they aren't going to over rate players. In real life he'd struggle in the mlb right now. So with a lower rating it makes sense so you can't just bring him up and he dominates.

Kenta Maeda from the Dodgers is from Japan, not from Pennsylvania.
His salary is also 8 years 25mil, not 70 something mil.

He's in AAA. He's low compared to other prospects. Not other pro players but other prospects.

I know this is a correction thread but when do the hybrid or V2 rosters come out? Just curious.

Didnt see it mentions but in the FAs Jose Miguel Fernandez should have 3B as a secondary. He was getting too big for 2B. He started playing it before he left Cuba.

I think he's going to be a great ball player. The highest rating I'd give him in 69. He's still a year away in my opinion. Maybe even September call up. By 2017 I'd say he's a 75

AJ Reed at 56 is too low. I agree. He's the Astro's single best prospect and #11 OVR in Baseball America's Top 100 of 2016. He's guaranteed to be called up in mid-May once he gets the extra year to push back arbitration.

And you have no clue if he would struggle. He's a better hitter than Tyler White and he's tearing up the majors... Lol

Keep in mind the Astros use the AA team a lot differently than a lot of organizations. Most guys have their rehab starts in CC and a lot of guys ready to go to the majors play in Corpus because it's so much closer to Houston than Fresno is. You may think it's asanine (and you may be right,) but I swear it's what they do.

You need to relax a little, Chief. Its a video game. I even said I'd give him a 69....maybe 70. And there are little scouting reports on white...Trevor story is a prime example. Once he played awhile teams adjusted and now he's coming down to earth. Alot of prospects come up and dominate for a week or 2 in one way or another until the league adjusts. I'm not trying to say reed sucks. But video game ratings at 56 isn't terrible. Even tho yes it should be higher. It's just to level the game out.

The thing is Reed is still just a prospect until he plays in the majors maybe his rating will improve:0

AJ Reed, a 4-year grad, who is as close to MLB ready as any prospect in the minors is a 56 overall. 69/70 ratings, I could deal with. That's close to where I'd put him. But 56?

I know ratings are changeable. I've been here at OS longer than most of y'all and I've heard the argument. Hell, I've made the argument that ratings are changeable and just because you don't agree, doesn't mean they're wrong. But I don't see how the ratings were made.
