Lol Thats why V2.2 will be the last update and will be franchise ready.... Btw thanks to tbarnes all contracts will be fixed and ready to roll based off the default roster.... I think its best for me to stay off of the roster forum after 2.2, that is the only way for me to get deep into a franchise. On here, I read errors that I never would've noticed myself, and say "why not wait another week".Bucs, Lighting, Rays,Comment

I have a question for Ridin' or anybody else who may be able to answer. I am considering changing all closing pitchers to relief pitchers before I start my franchise. In theory I believe this will allow the computer put whoever is their best reliever as their closer and prevent the computer from having a 77 CP at closer when they have an 88 RP. Is there any negative to doing this that I am overlooking? Thanks

Yes, it will affect player morale and more importantly draft logic. I believe all teams were purposely given 3 closers in OSFM so the AI does not always think they are 'thin' at closers, and constantly draft them.
I agree with you that they all should be RP because a closer is not a true position. Closers are just relievers finishing a game. But it is what it is, don't think there is any solid workaround, except for changing 3 RPs to closers on every team, at all levels before the draft, each year.

This year closers are sometimes rp. I know I have seen Miller and betances at times placed in closer role.

I also use 30 team control, and let the other 29 teams do whatever they want, except that at the end of each month I will check their Closers, and their performance. If a Closer has been getting lit up, I will swap him out with a different reliever, or edit their best reliever into a closer and insert him into the role. If I don't do this, there are WAY too many closers getting WAY too many saves every year.
The pitcher stamina/durability issue is something I plan to address as well, since there are also WAY too many starters putting up tons of innings. I plan to go through and drop all starters down by 10 Stamina/10 Durability, and Relievers down by 20 Stamina/10 Durability, so that the CPU will use their pitchers more like real life.Comment

I look forward to having my franchise play out and create its own league with trades, free agency, injuries, etc.
The question for me is I should ride out with 40 man or 25 man roster? But I think I'm going 25 this year for more realistic lineups/positions. David Ortiz always playing first annoys me at this point!Essential Rosters for 2K11

But each level and every team has 3 closers at each level for balance when drafting/free agency/trading.Essential Rosters for 2K11

That's a good point...Do you find yourself always tinkering with lineups especially due to injuries? I kept micromanaging the minors and what not with injuries to have proper, or at least logical call ups and what not.Essential Rosters for 2K11
