It might have to simply do with people having different tastes, they might not like the real life contracts of it, they might not like the hybrid ratings, but to me it is the best set out there!

Why is David Ortiz rated so low? Will he still produce MVP like numbers with these ratings?

No Tebow.

David Ortiz's ratings are fine and in line with how we rate all of the players. Regression is a bigger problem for Ortiz.

Not that I know of. Random people might be doing their own thing, but the original creators of this roster are probably done for the year with roster making.

No need to advertise your roster in other roster threads. If people want to use your roster, they can find your thread. It's bad form and off topic to advertise your wares in other roster threads.

Most of the decent rosters are rated poorly in the vault because people are allowed unlimited downvotes and upvotes. Some people clearly have too much time on their hands in downvoting to make other, inferior rosters appear decent by comparison. People on OS know the truth about roster quality and who's a faker and who's for real. The same is true for CAPs. You see Motown and DrSublime's work downvoted to oblivion because fakers rip them off and re-upload. And these fakers have the gall to give the original work a billion downvotes in the process. It's childish, immature behavior. So, in other words, the beat goes on.

A couple questions. Are these injury Free? I like to start my season with no carried over injuries and let them occur naturally in my franchise. Also, is there a 40 man version of the latest update on these?

I'd suggest people skim through/search the thread (or simply download the roster and check to see) because a lot of the questions being asked lately like these have been asked and answered before. But to save you some time, no these are not injury free--injured players as of opening day are stashed in A Ball. Secondly, this is the only update there is and all versions that we've made are 40-man versions.

WTNY, I remember reading awhile ago about the closeness to real life stats that these roster produced. I could be wrong but the picture that got posted was pitching stats, do hitting stats produce close to real life stats in the game? Cause obviously guys like Dozier, Brad miller and some others are outperforming their normal production, just curious if both pitching and offense play relatively close to real life stats

I've posted both pitching stats and hitting stats before in a previous thread (the v1 thread). The stats are good. Some are almost perfect. Certainly, it's not going to be right on for players who broke out this season because the ratings were locked in before the season started.

If this doesn't quite answer your question, I'd recommend downloading the roster, running a sim or two and looking at whatever stats or specific players you want to know more about. No substitute for seeing the data yourself.

I'm 55 games into a Cubs franchise (all played) and my Red Sox stats are simmed using WTNY Sliders. Checked David Ortiz numbers and they are Batting Average .326 Home Runs 12 RBI 41. Which look spot on as usual with this amazing roster set.

I recommend jumping in and starting a franchise with these rosters that you can carryover next year. I find the sim engine generates its own breakout and off years so you don't have to worry about changing ratings too much. Even playing all the games in a Cubs Franchise Alacantra is hitting .300 for me and has made himself untradeable. The rest of Cubs averages are so close to real life it is almost scary.

It really is eery, almost as if the OSFM team have the secret formula. Maybe they should share with SCEA so they can make such quality rosters for hteir own game.

do lineups and rotations have to be "reset" when starting a franchise, or do they actually stick now? It used to be even with 30 team control, they reset

I noticed a lot of guys speed are on the higher side (ex. Cespedes is an 84) I read that WTNY sliders correspond with the higher speed values. How does this affect guys in the draft?
