Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
I'm finishing up the Angels tonight.
I just realized for the first time how old that team was.
So many of the starting players were mid-30's on that club.
I guess they were going for the veteran presence .....
Boone(Bob)....Carew, Grich, DeCinces, Downing, Jackson, Jones and Beniquez were all in that age group.
It was great playing them against the Yankees in a little test match.
The playoff roster will be a bit of a mess outside of the finished clubs..... I'll import onto my '75 set(I used that to edit the teams that were missing from those years but were in '85...(Toronto, Texas etc)...but it will absolutely be a playable playoff roster.

Unless you have him on Oakland, that is. Even Don Sutton was on that Angel team too, briefly.T-BONE.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
I just decided that when this is released I will not make a full minors out of this. The thing is that 1985 was 8 years before I was even born, so I don't want that challenge. I'm thinking that if I ever work on a full minors roster it will probably be using the 2001 roster that is already out as a base, but no promises on that either. I will still use this roster, but probably on in season mode. Thanks for the encouraging words though when I was talking about doing a full minors roster using this set.Comment

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
This season is actually my first memories of baseball. It was then that I got my first pack of baseball cards and from there, just fell in love with the sport.
Oh, memories!Comment

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
Hey Knight, what number do you use as average for basestealing aggresiveness ? I am using 40 but maybe I should use 35 or even 30 as average . Most everything I use 60 as average except power I use 50 as average . Thanks .OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1985
or the actual stealing?
For BR Agg.....I am between 40 and 45 for the average guys.
For stealing.....I fluctuate the median with speed and what the average arm rating is for the catchers in the league(which I use about 80 and deviate just slightly unless it's a guy that has a true cannon.....but compensated a bit by using a higher accuracy rating as the median).
Okay....I have 5 players to create for the White Sox and then have to import them and the Angels.
I did import a few bonus teams for you that I had completed as well.
(Texas, Seattle....some others) and have two other teams completed as well but won't be importing them for this set(Philly and Baltimore)
I should be ready in about an hour or hour and a half.

Up in the Vault now.
T.B.T.C.1985 Post Season
Knight165
Historic
I used the 1975 set to import on to....so teams I haven't completed or imported will have the 1975 teams there.
Teams completed and imported
-St. Louis
-N.Y. N
-L.A. N
-Montreal
-Chicago
-Milwaukee
-San Diego
-Toronto
-N.Y. A
-K.C.
-California
-Chi. A
-Texas
-Seattle
I'm pretty sure you use the throwbacks for most teams.
For K.C. I think you mix and match the Alt top and throwback pants(they might be different blue)
Montreal?.....????()
For the White Sox use the Alternates
For Toronto I think it's the throwback old
I have a punch list of things to fix before final release, but if you have ANY suggestions for corrections please post them.
Stances/motions especially!
I really did a lot of research for these...and equip as well...but more eyes(and probably better younger eyes!) is always better.
Thanks everyone and ENJOY!
