No sorry there only 25 man set, but I mean even at that it provides so much replay value, baumys sets are so detailed you could technically be the Yankees in 96 and still lose the series.

Lot of really great ratings and attention to detail in those sets.

I have drafted Isaac White 1st every time I do a fantasy draft with this roster. I love him. Btw after the first 3 games for me he has 3 hr and 12 rbi's

Definitely a guy you would rather have on your team rather than face him

The classic franchise export workaround. I haven't tried it in MLBTS19 but it had worked it every version since.

            Here's the step by step:
            1) Create player
            2) Start franchise with CPU ROSTER CONTROL on
            3) Simulate time within the franchise
            4) Export player from franchise
            5) Import back into a roster
            6) Repeat as necessary

My specific preference is to do this with 8-12 players at a time and sim only one season in the franchise before exporting/importing again.

            I hope this helps.

Yeah, I heard a rumor that it no longer worked the same way in MLB19 but I haven't tried to sim service time yet.

Yeah man the service time trick no longer works in 19. Basically if you start a franchise in MLB 19 and you sim lets say 2 season 19 and 20. When you export that player out and onto a roster his player card will show stats for 2019 and 2020. Basically, all of the simming has to be done on 18 and then you have to carryover from there.

When you sim like that in 18, does it just not give a year? I’ve been simulating in 19, just to save time so I had to put the date aside and ignore it, which is difficult because it bugs the crap out of me hahahaha

I’ve dabbled with your rosters the past couple of years, but I’ve now started a Red Sox franchise and I’m hooked. The games have been great (syf sliders). You’re killing me with this pitching staff! It’s still very early on (I’m 9-11) but going to have to do something before it gets too far out of hand. Any suggested pieces to move? I’m finding myself playing more games that I scheduled to quick manage. Thanks for the hard work!

Wow sorry...I'm realizing I should've cleared this up earlier - when you sim the way I described in 18, it gives the first year as "2018" until you export him then it sets it back a year and continues pushing back the previous years. Of course, this mechanic doesn't work the same now in MLBTS19.

Yeah so the dominant strategy may be just to ignore dates if you don't want to do the simulating on an older game.

Thanks man. I appreciate you for starting a franchise and I'm glad you're into it.

As for the franchise, the Red Sox are an interesting pick. I feel as though they are the best team in the AL East but they need lots of rotation help. I tried to emulate the real MLB by making a severe shortage in good starting pitching so your options are limited unless you would like to splurge. Less than a month in, I'm guessing you still have a few of the Sox top prospects (RF Shiniji Sasaki, LF Eric Farmer and/or 3B Preston Podsednick) so those players could be used as trade pieces if you are hoping to make additions prior to free agency.

As for specific advice, I would like into acquiring players who excel at specific attributes above players who are rated highly. Looking for a platoon option, zero in on players with high hitting attributes against lefties or a bench guy, look for specific secondary positions. Same with any pitchers, try to find a guy with specific per 9s that you value the most.

Glad to hear you're playing games and I'd love to read more about it.

I think I fall into the same category as a lot of people on here. I get so obsessed about keeping regular rosters accurate and I never get to enjoy the game much. So I learned to go back to what made me happy last year: these rosters.

Started up a franchise with the DBacks in honor of my uncle that recently passed. My ace gets hurt warming up for the game, so I have to throw in the 6th SP/LR guy so I don't jack up the rotation. He was doing solid, giving up 3H, 3BB and 1ER through 4.1IP with 10Ks against the Dodgers. Pretty much bend but don't break pitching every inning. He even hit a solo HR in his first AB.

Then he (well, I) finally broke and I gave up a grand slam and had to pull him. So that line quickly became 4.1IP, 5H, 5BB, 5ER, 10K. I lost the game in the end, but it was enjoyable. I know I definitely have a "project pitcher" that I can work on, and I have a few hitters I like. The team rank is terrible, but I can work with it.

I think I benefit from not having preconceived notions about how certain players should play. I like just figuring it out as I go.

Your reasoning for playing with my roster was the same as my reasoning for creating it. I wanted my real roster to be as real as possible so I just had to pop the bubble and start over with something that had no real world relevance.

I'm very glad to hear you're enjoying the roster and glad to hear you picked an underdog team like the Diamondbacks even though I think the league is fairly balanced.
