Congrats Bacon. Well this is a bummer for me as I play exclusively on franchise with Bacons rosters. Is anyone else out there creating a fictional roster? I just dont have the creativity nor the patience to do so myself.

I've been toying with the idea of doing a set of fictional rosters for years now. The problem is, I can never find the time. I even started a fictional set for MLB 17, but work took over and I had to let the project slip to the back burner.

The other problem I have is the developer taking away year to year saves. The amount of work that goes into making a roster like this is A LOT! I'm certainly not going to have time to redo a roster every year.

Having said all that, I may start getting the logistics down and compiling a spreadsheet. That at least shouldn't take too long and isn't dependent on SDS implementing Y2Y saves again. No promises at this point though.

Sounds good. I know, removing YTY saves was a real kick in the butt for me. Thats how I played. Thats what kept me buying the show every year. I wasn't going to buy 22 but after seeing the reviews from Armor and some others and the addition of night games in created stadiums I bought it. Ill keep checking back here and the vault to see if you or anyone else have any updates.

Collectively, recreating/porting over Bacon’s roster is feasible. You have two guys per team recreating the players. If someone has a spreadsheet or if we could acquire one, containing attributes and demographics of the players, we can knock this out. I wholeheartedly appreciate the work Bacon has put into his roster. It brought life back into the game for me.

I’ve never played the game more than I have over the past 2+ years with the fictional rosters. Still playing 20 and unless it’s my only option I will never play with real players again.

I know a guy who has a full spreadsheet with "attributes and demographics" - the sheet is unfortunately still a WIP since it's a massive project.

I haven't played The Show 22 much because I wanted to wait until some proper rosters were released. However, I would have been playing it already if Bacon's rosters were available. It's such a huge miss.

My problem with real rosters is that I will try to replicate real life which is impossible. With Bacon's rosters I just felt so unrestricted in building my team (Cleveland) and spent so much time developing my drafted prospects until they made the bigs.

hey Bacon, in Show 20, did the Astro's Blondie Pena get the ''plays better at home, homebody'' quirk on purpose or is that just something the game happened to give him?

Those are all based off the player that they were created from, since we cannot edit the quirks, so this was purposeful.

I wish there was an easier way to edit EVERYTHING but that's just not how it works (yet).

Just wanted to thank Bacon again for these rosters.
I just bought MLB 21 for my PS4 exclusively for these rosters.
PS5 have been tough to come by and I have that baseball itch. I have MLB 20 but wanted a refreshed version and I'm so excited to load up an updated version of these rosters in a "new" MLB The Show for the holidays!
