Giving your roster a try for the first time. I noticed a lot of 90+ overall players like Ronald Acuna and Alex Bregman for example. Just wondering is there any reason why the ratings are so high? Compared to a Nolan Arrenado or Freddy Freeman there is not much discrepancy between the players. I downloaded V5 the latest from the vault.

I don't think Acuna and Bregman are all that high compared to Chapman of the A's who has 91 power against R and L.

Our roster makes the stars stand out, as they should. There is more separation between lower levels/middle tier players and top players. Hope this helps explain our process.

It has not as of yet. However, ratings aren't going to be that much different from our final 2018 version. It's just pulling in the new draftees and such.

Is that why JD Martinez is given something like 70 for arm strength? I believe he had 14 assists fairly recently. So your stars stand out is Martinez has a weak arm--and Chapman of A's has big power with 91 against both R and L pitchers.

I'm sorry but I'm not getting into an ratings debate on here. We have a process of pulling info and calculating ratings. If you don't like them, you are free to adjust them yourself.

I actually came back to correct my previous post about Betts, mistake there it's really JD Martinez with low arm strength--and he had 14 plus assists....I think in 2015.

Anyway, no worries about using your roster, I don't.

My own personal roster with realistic attributes, potentials, pitch types and speeds. I can tell you that Betts has a much higher speed than 70, and Chapman does not have 91 power against L and R.

Since you stated you don't use our roster, why exactly are you in here making inquiries on specific ratings (and bringing up a stat from 2015....4 years ago)? On top of that, promoting your own 'superior' personal roster. I think you can see yourself out now.

Just wanted to say hello. Have not been on board in a while. I just wanted to reiterate how appreciative I am of everyone on here. I get the chance to converse with. I don't have any RL friends to discuss baseball with and it's awesome. I'm getting excited for MLB the show 19. Going finish my CAP edits to be transferred to 19 and franchise time baby. So, once again, thank you all for making the show 18 another smash hit.
