Re: OSFM for MLB 19
Our roster will be out sooner than later, we are farther alone than expected. I would say 80% of our roster or more is brand new, that includes new created players, new faces, tons of new prospecst, equip and ratings etc... this has been worked on since last season. I know some are impatient but trust me its worth it
This. Is. Awesome. Thanks guys!

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
I post this reply full prepared to be flamed by your fanboys and to be blocked by you when all is said and done, but someone needs to call you out on your crap:
First off, your attitude towards people who support you is awful. “The entitlement birds” and “catering to the masses” is inflammatory language that just makes you sound like an ***.
I understand you guys do this for fun and we all appreciate your efforts. But your attitude is horrible. You think just because of the effort you put in people should kiss the ground you walk on. You also think you’re above any and all criticisms.
Example: a couple years ago I tweeted at you some feedback on your rosters and things that you could do to make it better. You immediately became stand-offish and then blocked me even though all I did was point out some minor flaws.
Also, you have this attitude that your rosters are Godly and heads above every other roster out there.
Newsflash: it’s not
Trust me when I say, I’ve been downloading your roster for years, and without fail I find a countless number of mistakes every year. And I’m not talking minor things here and there, I’m talking just blatant things that shouldn’t be missed
Are your rosters still the best? Sure. And I’ll continue to download them so long as they’re available. But if they weren’t, there’s always another source out there, so get off your high horse
Additionally, nobody is asking you to have the game come out Tuesday and you have the rosters ready by Saturday. We know it takes time. Hell, even the end of the first week of April is asking a lot. We get that. But a projected deadline that you let us know about and try to meet is appreciated. If you can’t meet it, then a heads up it’s going to take a little more time is more than reasonable for us to ask
If you don’t like doing this anymore, then don’t do it. But don’t turn around and act like an *** to the people who made you popular, because without all of us downloading your roster, you wouldn’t be where you are

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
Because as in years past how can we give a date when we dont have one. If we give a date and miss then entitlement birds are out. Unfortunately our days of catering to the masses are over. We do this for fun and for free and we do it well. The work that all of our guys put in for free is amazing and all the guys working on deserve props. There are alternative rosters out or coming out soon for those that cant wait. Games been out a day guys relax we get the game when you guys get it and actually later than lots of guys so i would say we are doing pretty well.
I’m not even asking, just saying when I used to do rosters I never cared how many times I would get asked. I would always say, “I have x amount of teams done, should be done around x.”
At the very least it seems like it would at least save the trouble by posting it in large print somewhere right on the first page and estimated time or how much was currently done. It’s really not that complicated. It seems roster makers kind of get all high and mighty sometimes and I find it humorous. As evident with the Twitch (or whatever social media was used) “release party,” stream... haha. Why is there a need for a stream?
Maybe make a video that shows the aspects of the rosters you want to highlight.
In any case, I’m probably just rolling with my own rosters this year anyway. I’ll jump out of this thread as it’s not going to go anywhere productive if this particular matter is discussed further. Both of us have our opinions and they’re different. My hats off to you for the work you put into them, it’s commendable.

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
Woah..... you really need to chill dude. Ridin and the guys really don't have the answer to anyone quite frankly. They do this for free. You really need to excercise proper etiquette on this forum. You won't find a lot of People who are going is to be supportive of this kind of attitude.
And by “proper etiquette” do you mean voicing my opinion? Which I have every right to do?
If you don’t like my opinion that’s fine. You don’t have to. But I have every right to share it on these forumsComment

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
Guys as someone who has been doing the job or organizing a roster and exporting and importing guys to try and get something out before then.
If you try it yourself you will see why it takes time and is difficult. because of pathetic roster system that is in use for the game. and the ridiculous amount of workarounds you have to do to get around everything and restrictions. you will see how easy it is to make a easy mistake. it is a nightmare loading, reloading exporting. importing.. naming files. moving players around.. having to move A players... scrolling through players with no filter... simming for correct service time.
let me tell you guys try and at least attempt to do one team and get it 100% accurate. and they are having to do it without any third party tools which SCEA would have to get it out in a few weeks. it is a complete nightmare. and if you don't have OCD about it it probably wouldn't irritate you enough.
it will leave you cursing at the system, scratching your head sleepless trying to find workarounds. because one tiny little error by accidentally overwriting a file or a player completely 100% screws your roster and you have to start again. that's how hard this is.Comment

But I’m not talking about little mistakes. I’m talking like you can’t even scout the number 1 draft pick from a couple years ago (Hunter Greene) and get his pitches correct. That’s not an import error
Again, I want to make myself clear: thank you for your effort. My main issue if with Ridin and his attitude and inability to accept any feedback. If you’re working so hard on these, don’t you want to do your absolute best? Shouldn’t you be searching for ways to make them even better?
Maybe it’s just me, but I would. But again, I’m just one person and obviously one person can’t do this by themselves. It’s a huge jobComment

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
These guys do SEVERAL updates/versions throughout the year. I'm sure if you sent a message saying "hey man, I noticed Hunter Greene has a curveball, but really if you read this article on baseball America he throws a slider." - then they would get it fixed. Or better yet, just take the roster with hundreds of hours worth of creation and take the 2 minutes out of your day to fix the few guys. That's the beautiful thing my man, these rosters aren't locked. Once you download it, you can do whatever you want with it!Comment
