Thank you. Right now I am focusing on developing an application for game rating generation. I feel this could help reduce the time spent by eliminating the majority of manual data entry/calculations outside the game. I will provide more details in a future thread about this but in short, the application will scrape data offline and automatically generate the appropriate in-game ratings taking a variety of factors into account such as potential, age, year-to-year tendencies, etc... One major benefit of this is the source data is always up-to-date and available immediately. When this is complete, it will be free for anybody to download. So that is my primary focus right now and I will be testing that along the way on my own roster set for this year. I do not want to commit to the community set if I cannot devote all my time and a working application to it just yet.

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
Little late to the party. It was established almost 2 months ago that it didn't come from OS directly. Guess you missed it...............Maybe next time you could read through some threads rather than trying to play "Messiah" on Twitter and Twitch and assume no one mentioned it.

Believe it or not, we don't like seeing it thrown around post over post that we sent something we never sent to stop a project we've always promoted and supported (and used ourselves I might add).Comment

Also, and sorry for the double post, I just want to point out for those that doubt what Showtyme, Steve, and Mill have already stated (and I'm sure there are a few who still don't believe it).
Please think of the following.
If there was something on THIS site that OS didn't want here. We have our own tools to remove it and wouldn't need to spend ANY money whatsoever to send a C&D.
We can lock threads.
We can delete threads.
We can ban users if they would keep posting what we don't want them to post.
There would no reason for us to ever go that route if there was something we didn't want here.Comment

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
It clearly needed to be restated since as you can tell by the previous posts in this thread that quite a few others also missed not only your post but Steve's post which were in a different thread.

That being said, I really don't see what OS would stand to gain by blocking one of its most sought after "products" (the OSFM) from taking place every year. That would be like Dunkin Donuts sending a cease and desist letter to franchises for selling coffee in their stores. It defies belief as to how that would actually come about.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
It's clear that there's some weird bad blood going on between OS and the guys who make OSFM and I'm not sure where/why that all started, but I don't really have a side to take in that.

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
Do you have an example? I have been doing my own re-rates for a while and have formulas developed based (and tweaked) off one of Knights very old ratings spreadsheets.Comment

Re: OSFM for MLB 19
To be honest. I don't think there is beef between OS and the roster guys. I think that Roster creators are sick and tired of not being considered "content creators", and being considered second class citizens to YouTube and twitch streamers. Rightfully so. I think roster and slider guys, especially the ones who get heavy downloads, are just as important to cultivating a mass following for this and other games. I think the constant neglect has left a feeling of disenchantment for a lot of people involved with creating for sports titles quite frankly.
Perfectly put I 100% agree. "OSFM" sold me on this game and ultimately led to me purchasing a PS4.Last edited by bamabound2010; 03-22-2019, 05:07 AM.Roll Tide Roll18 and Counting
