They won’t make the game play fundamentally different. Just more accurate to real life

      Re: Full Minors 19 Redux

MLB released it's mid-season revised Top 30 for each club this week.

I didn't want to look at it, but I'm constantly checking the production of prospects, and their development, as if I'm on some clubs pay roll [face palm]

I'm in the process of working on a v4 roster now, adding the newly added prospects for each clubs Top 30. I will also be revising potentials/ratings for minor leaguers based on mid-season production, risers/fallers, etc.

It's not going to be as tedious as the v3, because I don't have to go through every player with a fine tooth comb, create hundreds of prospects, edit every single player, etc. I believe I completed the AL East in 2 hours last night. But each club has around 5 new prospects, so this allows me to continue to trim the fat off completely for each teams roster.

      The Yankees (for example)

Yoendrys Gomez started the season out as the Yankees No.27 overall prospect, but after this season, they have moved him up to their No.8 overall prospect. So his potential will rise, along with his attributes.

Then you have kids who weren't in their Top 30 at the beginning of the season, such as --

No.3 - Jasson Dominguez (No.1 overall International player for 2019) - already on the roster
No.11 - Anthony Volpe (2019 1st round pick) - already on the roster
No.14 - Alexander Vizcaino - not on the roster
      No.17 - T.J. Sikkema - not on the roster
No.18 - Kevin Alcantara - not on the roster
No.19 - Josh Smith - not on the roster
No.26 - Canaan Smith - not on the roster
No.27 - Miguel Yajure - not on the roster
No.30 - Oswald Peraza - not on the roster

So that's 7 new prospects that have been added to the Yankees roster. Yes, I am that obsessed with having the most in depth, and deepest roster possible, so that I can play this version of the game for at least 2 years minimum.

Also, more clubs have moved pitchers who were previously projected to be starting pitchers to the bullpen, such as former No.4 overall pick Dillon Tate, who is now a relief pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles club. Things like that will be updated also.

But like I said earlier, it's not taking nearly as long as starting from scratch and going through 2,000+ players like with v3. I should be done with this sometime this week, and can add the trades that occur leading up to the July 31'st trade deadline.

I know, I suck - for those that will want to use this roster, and start over.

Awesome! I’ll use the v4 to backtrack for Opening Day instead then. Looking forward to it [emoji106]

Already completed the American League, and the NL East.

Should be ready for a release on 8/1

All that's left to complete is the NL West, and I will knock that out some time later on today, more than likely this evening.

I'm loving how this roster is looking. Here are a few things that I tweaked specifically, that I was noticing with my test sims with Baltimore. I say test sims, because I re-started my franchise at least three different times, each time simming to 2022.

The upper tier prospects, I increased their overalls, so that they get to the big leagues quicker. I was noticing that guys like Alec Brohm were still lingering around in the minors going into 2021-22. And I was always having to manually edit his rating to make him be 'good enough' to play in Philadelphia.

                  And that's just one example.

I didn't do anything extreme however. I believe his rating was a 64-65, and all I did was knock him up to a 68-69. That way once 2020 spring training rolls around, he SHOULD be around a 73-74.

Same with Adley Rutschman, who was a 65 overall. I bumped him up to a 71 overall, because the kid is a phenom. He's going to be playing for the O's next season.

Wanted to make sure I could separate the ELITE prospects from the GOOD prospects, and give them more separation - as long as they were producing as expected.

But regardless, I'm excited with how deep this roster set is now. The longevity of this roster will be amazing, which will ensure that I don't need to waste the $$ on The Show 20.

Awesome! If you knock it out of the park today and release it, will the cutoff date transactions wise be today?

I'm not going to release it until all the trades are finalized, so likely evening time tomorrow.

I'm also curious to see if it's going to be a 40 man roster. Also, we'll have pitch edits since this is based off daonlyjmo37's roster, right?
