Yes, I'm using the most recent roster from this thread as the base

I'll try not to make this too lengthy, but will likely fail..

So I'm pretty ridiculously anal about having the most in depth roster set when it comes to baseball, especially prospects. I don't want a single top prospect missing from my roster set. OSFM team did an amazing job adding all of the top tier prospects (Top 10 for each club), but I want the 11-30 guys on there too.

So I use the foundation that they built, and start to build on top of it. There were 196 missing prospects in total [combined] from each clubs respective Top 30 list. I'll edit over a dead weight minor league player, and create the prospects. Once the Top 30 is created and added to the team. I'll begin re-rating every player from MLB all the way down to the 18 year old in A ball. My re-rates are based off of 2019 production to date. So Lucas Giolito (for example) will go from a 72 overall to an 88 overall.

I also imported every 1st round pick from the OSFM draft roster into this roster, so that all the 1st round picks from the 2019 draft are included. I've also been able to successfully add every 2nd round pick as well (so far)

Will try and add the top 10-15 international free agent signings to their teams when I'm done, have added the Top 3 for sure already.

Absolutely appreciate the time you’re putting into this. Any idea when you’re finish this project?

I would put it likely on Thursday or Friday, because it takes about 2 hours and some change now to complete one team. And there are 10 teams left to do.

Wow that's incredible. The longevity of this roster will be incredible. Talk about a franchise guru's heaven!

That's the goal, I want to be able to play for a year + with this roster set once it's finished.

I don't plan on getting the game next year, because the game will basically be identical in terms of game play and graphics. So we're paying $69 for a roster update from free agency, trades, and face scans of minor leaguers that will get called up.

I hope SDS adds a custom draft class feature that can be downloaded from the vault similar to what NBA 2k has had and what Madden introduced with last year's game. You sound like you could create a gem every year.

This would be the only reason I would buy the game next year, and re-do the roster set all over again.

I do this already with my franchise, once the teams pick their players, I'll start changing them to real life prospects based on mock drafts.

I can do this for a good two drafts, then it's up in the air after that. That's when I'll just tweak ratings/potentials/positions around based on draft slots.

Example . The No.3 overall pick isn't going to be a 24 year old CP. I'll change him to a SP, make him an A potential, and edit his age between 18-22.

Should be down to 4 teams by the end of the night, and then I'm guessing a Friday-Saturday release.

I'm ready for these to be done with, because I'm ready to start my Baltimore franchise and re-build them.

On another note, I think I just discovered the worst pitching line in baseball this season..

Just finished the Cardinals (4:47 AM), so down to 3 teams, should knock out the Rays later on this afternoon.

Nothing any of you would care about, just some random post about the Cardinals. They might have one of the deepest bullpens in baseball this season.

This is why I love doing re-rates at the mid-season mark.

Giovanny Gallegos was a 59 overall, yet his stat line -

Safe to say he got a lot of love. However, the Cardinals bats have been very lack luster. Could be Father Time finally creeping up on a lot of their veterans?

Just finished the Cardinals (4:47 AM), so down to 3 teams, should knock out the Rays later on this afternoon.

Nothing any of you would care about, just some random post about the Cardinals. They might have one of the deepest bullpens in baseball this season.

This is why I love doing re-rates at the mid-season mark.

Top 30 for each club

1-15 will be an A/B potential prospect. I usually give A potentials to guys currently ranked within the Top 35 overall in baseball, or guys who project to be Top 35 overall who are 18-20 year olds.

16-30 are between 75-79 C potential guys, unless again, it's a teenager who projects to be much higher in a year or two.

I plan on going through potentials one more time to clean it up, in case there have been any oversights after I finish the teams.

I haven't been touching the veterans potentials too much, mostly just prospects.

What do you guys think?

I think this will be a great roster! Only concern is that you will see a huge influx of 85+ overall players 5-10 years into a franchise or RTTS.
