*After I completed the AL central I thought there is no way they got former top prospects now full time majors players wrong like Casey Mize.... went to check for fun and yup Mize is wrong. 22 should be 23. Will actually be 24 in like a week. So I may have to go back and double check the AL Central and East now.

I would bet a million doll hairs it doesn’t get patched. Yusniel Diaz was 6’4” all of last year despite only being 6’1”. Ages need to be editable in the future for all players

The devs are aware of this. Heard they will be fixing some roster logic like teams not replacing injured players on roster but no word if this will be in the patch too. Also, should be coming before friday.

Not that they didn’t mess up, but putting the ages as of April 25 isn’t really the right way to do it. It should be up until like March somewhere or whenever they finished editing the roster. Wouldn’t surprise me also if they just normally put their ages as of the start of spring training since that would be the start of the “baseball year”. Obviously this wouldn’t have affected many people who still have their ages wrong in your list, but I’m just saying.

I don’t get how they can’t just input a birth date & year the way NBA2K does. Would solve so many issues and let them be lazy and just import them year to year. It also is frustrating that we can’t just edit ages for guys who have face scans (also heights & weights but that’s another story). It literally wouldn’t affect anything to let users change their age or sizes, especially since weight can fluctuate year to year & some prospects don’t have very accurate weights until they get called up. Check out some of the differences between mlb.com and fangraphs, there are guys with up to 60lb differences.

It is pretty surprising they don't have birth dates as part of a player's profile at this point. I feel like NBA 2k has had player birthdays for 10 or 15 years at this point. You enter the DoB once for a player and then the age is taken care of for you.

It's a bit worrying in a sense that SDS is entering ages manually every year.... or is supposed to be, but isn't.

Just playing devils advocate here. But NBA teams employ a roster size of about 15 to 18 players. MLB teams carry a roster size of 26 plus minor leagues, plus free agents. There is a lot more player files in the show then NBA 2k21, so it very well could be a memory issue with entering exact birth dates. So I am willing to give them a pass.

What I am not willing to give them a pass on is face scanned players who have the wrong ages ported over from old games. While I am appreciative they have more prospects face scanned then ever, porting over their info to save time is flat out lazy and makes MTO and franchise un-immersive. While I don’t think this was their goal, I certainly think it was done to cut corners and save time.

Also, while I understand not having face scans because of Covid, I am completely baffled as to why no 2020 draft prospects are in the game. I understand there was no minor league season but some of these guys were at their teams alternative sites last year. Spencer Torkelson is the #1 pick in baseball. Could you imagine NBA 2k21 releasing without Zion Williamson included in the game. I know last year 2k released without the updated rookies because the draft wasn’t until like November, but once the draft took place they at least added generic versions of the rookies.
