I've played 6 games so far and they all were 0-1 errors per game which is normal. Except for 1 game against the Reds where they had 6 errors. To make matters worse I still somehow lost that game while using the Dodgers.

Miami did have the most errors per game last season, but they're much better this year

Law of averages I suppose lol

You should be averaging about .5 errors per game per team. one every 2 games...

I also noticed that as the season goes on, batting averages go down. I wonder if durability/injuries slider affects it.
It's really friggin tricky. ERA/BA are tied directly to Stamina. So you have to pick your poison - realistic ERAs or realistic averages.

Hook is a little more forgiving as it controls the amount of Ks/IP/CG/SHOs. But again, pick your poison. You can get realistic amount of Ks and IPs or a realistic amount of CG/SHOs.

If you choose Averages, Ks, and IP go with 3 Stamina and 4 Hook. I've done dozens of sims and those numbers give the most realistic variety.

Also to your point I tested injury slider and it didn't appear to have any affect on the leader boards unless turned off completely. Reliever stamina also didn't have any affect on averages or ERA from my testing.

I initally zeroed out RP Stamina hoping it would improve averages without nerfing starters but that wasn't the case.

Is this what you're going with? Are you liking the results for batting averages, or are you saying they still aren't where they should be?

If they still aren't, it may be either the clucth attribute or durability attribute? I tested clutch and had inconsistent results from what I recall.

So 3/3/4, SP Sta/RP Sta/Hook is the way to go??

Correct, I'm liking the results of:

                    SP Stamina: 3
                    RP Stamina: 3
                    Hook: 4

It gives a good variety of averages but ERA is really high. Then again you can't get ERA down to real levels until you go Stamina 10. By that point, you'll only see 1 or 2 batters hit over .300.

Here's my data points for Stamina 3 Hook 4. I simmed the same 1st season several times and averaged the leaderboard numbers. The comparison is 2018, 2019, and 2021 real life season.

The averages were take from the top 16 players on the leaderboard. Not the best for determining global accuracy but the best we can do with what SCEA gives us in terms of stat sorting.

                    SIM/REAL LIFE
                    Batting Average: .310/.311
                    ERA: 3.45/2.83
                    SHO: 1.75/1.16
                    Ks: 223/236
                    CG: 1.88/1.625
                    IP: 195/200

Also note this was tested with Sim Injury at 8.

It seems good. Hard to say, there's no way to track easily in game so it's all about feel. I also play a lot of OOTP and injuries are BRUTAL there lol.

Silly question but w/controlling all the teams is there a way to Sim the other games so you get score updates during the game of the team.you plan to use primarily?

Yes go to calendar screen and select today’s games. Then sim all the cpu games except game you will play. Play your game.
