Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
V2 is essentially ready. Xx 74 xX has volounteered to clean up the cleats and their colors, so that's the last surprise step we are working on.
Some news I'm sure many will enjoy: no need to switch between a slider set for simulating and playing games anymore!
I'm liking the results I'm seeing by leaving the played set as the active one.
More soon.Comment

Exciting! I noticed Luke Weaver was still a SP in that latest test run, thinking you'll leave him there?Comment

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
V2 is live!
Download name is TrueSim Franchise Roster v2
Spreadsheet is also updated
It includes updated ratings league-wide. All devs have their ratings zeroed out.
As a reminder, here's what v2 includes:
-Same base as v1
-Pitch speed corrections for CAPs - many didn't match what's listed on the spreadsheet
-Updated splits for hitters with adjusted formula that factors in handedness
-Player rating updates league-wide
-Adjusted ratings spread league-wide and bumped prospect ratings down a bit. No more boosting to help the CPU's lineup logic.
-Durability ratings updates for position players, blending old system with new one, so you see more variety between everyday players, platoon/bench and guys who are injury-prone
-Cleat edits for consistency and immersion (thanks to xx 74 xx)Comment

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
Amazing rosters. Thanks for this! I noticed Daniel Schneemann for the guardians isn’t even in the game, not sure why (was triple A, has been called up to MLB roster on playing consistently and seems to be part of the long term roster). Listed as a SS but has played almost every position besides catcher since being called up.
Just was curious if other players/teams have had this issue and if they will be incorporated into any of your rosters? I can manually do it but would love to defer to your expertise. No worries if not, thanks again for these rosters!Comment

Thanks for the V2 update!!
Question for you, Cycloniac:
Three braves prospects have recently been seeing MLB action, AJ Smith-Shawver, Hurston Waldrep, and Spencer Schwellenbach.
Their pitch selections and stats are a bit inaccurate due to the lack of data that was available for them at the beginning of the season. Can you advise how to calculate Control and Movement attributes based on Pitchf/x / Statcast data?
For example, if Pitchf/x has horizontal and vertical movement data for a pitch that Schwallenbach does not currently have in your rosters...how can I make those additions myself?Comment

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
To clarify, the v2 that's uploaded has all of the ratings edits. Edits to the cleats weren't finished though.
I haven't decided if I will redo my edits on the version that has all of the cleats updated yet, but the cleats are the only thing missing from v2Comment
