There isn't an issue with a debate on how a roster is constructed, but when you come into a thread and rip said roster, and then promote another roster in the same post you are not looking for a debate.

So there is actually no sway at all.

All these roster makers at OS do an unreal job at utilizing their own formulas and getting the game to play to their vision for all of us to enjoy.

I agree. I'm all for debate.

I believe these rosters are the best ones available and I'll happily defend and debate with anyone why. And anybody who's been following this project for the almost decade it's been going knows I'm open to feedback, questions and discussion.

But what about offseason and new draft picks? Do we do edits manually for regression and new draftees?

You don't have to edit them

You certainly can though. Sometimes, I'll look at older players and undo regression if they're having a really good season.

            Bump on my follow up

How to edit the secondary pitching stats when moving from RP --> SP?

I have a specific case, Ben Lively, who has moved from the bullpen to the Guardian's rotation. He has 32.1/6 = 74.9 (round up to make 75 stamina).

After making that change and moving his position to be SP, he ends up rated something like an 83 overall which doesn't make sense. This is likely due to the secondary attributes needing to be edited.

            Thanks!

The simplest way is to make a note of what his overall is as a reliever first

Then decrease the per nine ratings until he's back at that overall

I saw a fancier to convert but can't find it now, if I do I'll post here

also not a massive deal but I am finding a fair amount of pitcher's velocities are up to 2-3MPH faster than their real stats. Bryan Woo on the Mariners being one example, these rosters have him hitting 98 and 97 when his average fastball speed is 95.12 per pitchFX

fair amount of this on the braves too, Ray Kerr's fastball velocity is set to 99 which has him hitting 101! his fastball sits at about 95/96 IRL

Speeds should be right on our spreadsheet, so I'm not sure what happened there,, sorry about that

Cy, I know this is a legacy issue and all, but do you have any idea on stopping the speed regression, or the inappropriate regression overall? I have guys like Friedl and EDLC losing speed even though I'm leading in stolen bases. I understand Friedl is older, but literally everyone losses speed, on every team, and I'm only 25 games in. Same with pitchers and their stamina decreasing.

Nope, nothing we can do except manually fixing it

It's probably in the thread already somewhere but I couldn't find it. Should we be changing the manager hook in played games once the starter is pulled or is leaving it at 6 fine for AI and pulling relievers?
