Over the past three seasons, they have nearly identical WHIP (1.07 vs 1.05).

a pitcher with few walks and a lot of hits
a pitcher with a lot of walks and few hits
It's fun to watch the same thing
He asked for BB/9 figures and it's nonsense to answer with WHIP

        It's not nonsense.

BB/9 is one of the most important ratings in the game because it has a big impact on WHIP and pitcher effectiveness in the game.

So, sure, you could use raw bb/9, but I don't think you'd get the results you're looking for.

The pitch control ratings capture the difference I think you're talking about; we use raw bb/9 for those.

The problem with using bb/9=control however, is control ratings don't really do anything (in sim or gameplay), or if they do, it's very slight. I simmed some seasons to test, and Blake Snell ended up with a BB/9 under 2.2 every time, despite his very low control ratings.

In the end, it mostly evens out; the test roster ended up with a slightly higher walk rate overall than a test of the live roster, although both are a bit higher than irl (8.9% bb% for this roster, 8.7 for the Live, and 8.2% for irl). But for individual players, there are some guys who are consistently lower (Snell) or higher (Kirby) than they should be.

I ran a sim using Snell as a guinea pig for some tweaked balancing to the SP ratings and I got the following:
              189 IP
              3.05 ERA
              1.29 WHIP
              11.38 k/9
              4.33 BB/9

Found an audio thing, SS John Gil for the Braves is announced as EJ Exposito by the PA Announcer (tried it in a second game to confirm).

Seems like the hits may have been a smidge high, but that could just be sample size. Ks and BBs seem dead on.

The audio issue is because you can’t overwrite players anymore. You have to create a CAP and import them. I believe the roster makers here are making some changes to fix those already.

Doesn’t import them erase the stats thus making them a rookie?

Yes, but this is overwriting guys who haven’t been in the MLB, so they would be a rookie anyway. The contracts line up the same and there are no stats, the only thing you lose is the draft year/round, but that would be inaccurate anyway.
