I’d disagree that Jurrangeleo shouldn’t be a B still, but that’s just one player. Only the A rated guys dropped (53 down to 11), the same number of B prospect YoY though. And yes, I’m fine with lower potentials and making those with high potentials really be impactful, but then the draft ruins that system just 1 year into your franchise. Either they screwed up the prospect potentials being too low, without a question missed the boat on RP/CP though, or they screwed up by forgetting to revise draft prospect builds

I won't have the game until Tuesday but with Ridin and team lowering potentials, that part was long overdue. The problem of inflated potentials plagued the osfm roster for years. In my opinion.

We have always had to edit potentials of draft picks to keep in line with rosters. Sounds no different. But we need to sim 7-10 years out to see how those first few classes pan out. An A potential doesn't guarantee an A rated (90+) player. The first class in every previous version has always been more stacked than the rest. I feel the game compensates for the big drop in ratings from a lot of older players that first season. I would venture to guess year 4 or 5, we will have to be bumping up potential to get more high caliber players.

When I get the game Tuesday, I will start simulating to see how those draft classes actually play out over a longer stretch of 7-10 seasons. It will give me a chance to do a rebuild with a team I don't normally use and test out the new free agency stuff.

Noticing that the base roster is more strict with secondary positions than previous years.

How do you guys feel about that?

Do you like someone like Matt Chapman, who hasn't played anywhere besides third in the majors, having no secondary positions, or do you like all SS being able to play 2B/3B like we've done in the past?

Love the change. I hate playing teams and seeing players like Rendon playing 2B just because he did 8 years ago. All they really need to do is add DH as a position to give to players like Devers, Ozuna, etc and it would be perfect imo.

Our team is already hard at work on CAPS and coordinating efforts.

I've updated the spreadsheet on the first page with a complete overhaul of the positions/secondary positions that should be much more true to life, and in the spirit of the direction SDS went this year.

I used ESPN depth charts for the secondary positions, which factor in position trends over the past couple years.

What does this mean for you?

No RF for Bryce Harper. I know he's talked about being willing to move back to the outfield, but he hasn't played OF full-time since 2021.

No secondaries for Acuna Jr.. He hasn't played anywhere besides RF for any consideradble length of time since 2020.

This should allow guys who actually do play multiple spots to shine, and should make roster management a lot more interesting.

Hey everyone, I am helping out with Cycloniac for the 2025 Edition of the True Sims rosters, let's make this another massive year for roster creations... Major League wise.

Like Cy said we're currently looking for extra man/woman power to help out with the rosters. Currently and counting myself, we're at 12 guys.

We're currently looking for...

- 1 maybe two more ratings guy/s
- 1 more CAPS guy (a couple more can join, but I would have to get the okay from the others)

Happy (full) release day people. Like Cycloniac said we are currently working on and moving along with CAP's. Sigs/stances and equipment guys are currently putting together spreadsheets that will then be incorporated once we're given the go ahead by Cycloniac to add them in, same scenario for player ratings.

As of now we're currently looking for the people who are up for inputting player ratings and 1 more CAP's guy (everything that's in bold in the quoted above). Again if up for it, just post or PM me or Cycloniac.

We didn't find any players missing that were worth waiting any longer for.

To have everything done - that includes the ratings, CAPs, equipment and signature edits - yes, that's our goal.

We'll have updates as we make progress.
