Finally the power sue has come to the end. Great Pitching performance by both teams. Paxton left in the 2nd inning, with a sore shoulder hopefully he won't miss his next start. But that is to in a row against the Dodgers nice to see this. It could be a possible world series matchup. Another game with out errors. I believe we found the spot for errors.

Well, first match done, exhibition mode, with the complete sliders of Itbeme (post#2)
The Gameplay options are set with a mix between the gameplay option of Itbeme and mine. But substantially, there are few differences.
My first impression was of real difficulty in pitching and hitting. But gradually, during the game, I managed to figure out how to behave.
And in the end it came out a great match, very close, with a good battle between both mounds and the thrill of fighting until the last pitch, until last hit. A bit of my errors in baserunning that I still have to fully understand; unlike the throwing without meter did not give me much trouble..
There are still many tests to do but since I started a Franchise with the Dodgers, will pass now to play with these sliders.

I'm now playing a terrific match. Unbelievable the simulation with this sliders. A real battle between my mound and Padres hitters and between my attack and Cashner. But how much attention and care in pitching, it takes ...........

So thinging I was going to play a game in pitcher friendly SafeCo Field, when they decided to move the fences in about 100 feet and throw a softball around. LOL. That is what the game felt like. It was great the ball jumping off the bats Cano heating up, to bad Cruz has done next to nothing. I'm fearing this lineup once he starts to hit. HAPP, is my early all star. In two Sr arts he has been lights out, we'll the King takes the mound again, man I can't go 0-3 with him that would not be right. Wish me luck.

Sorry I've been out the last couple of days. Had the family over on Easter sunday, then yesterday I was at Chavez Ravine for the Dodgers opener. It's been a good couple of days, but I'm ready to get back into the lab for slider testing. Because, you know....priorities. LOL

On Saturday night, I stayed up until about 1 AM, compiling my stats over the 15 games that I've tested. I wanted to focus on my offensive stats, because those have been the most consistent sliders that I've played with, because there haven't been many adjustments with the exception of the Contact slider at 3.

I was EXTREMELY surprised at my stats. I will post them later on today. And when I say surprised, I mean that in a good way.

On the flip side, I was kind of bummed about seeing that the sliders are ranked only at 3 stars. Again, slider sets aren't universal, and I know everybody has different skill sets and strategies at the game itself, but 3 stars was a little bit of a gut punch to the ego.

Anyway, I will continue posting stats from my test games, and I encourage the others that are using these sliders to do the same. I will try my best to make sure that these sliders provide the most simulation baseball experience possible by the time the OSFM rosters drop.

As I said in my last post, I did a 15 game stat progress check on Saturday night. I know it seems like your getting too many home runs, but trust me, I don't think that's the case. You have to understand how adjusting a certain slider can have an impact on the other sliders in the game. So, while it would be natural to want to lower the power slider if you think you're getting too many home runs, that might not be the solution. The lowering of that slider may affect the totals and averages of your extra base hits as a WHOLE, which I don't think you want to do.

If there was a slider that I would suggest lowering, it would be to move HUMAN TIMING to 4. This will make it a bit more difficult to time your swing perfectly, which should make it more difficult to get extra base hits. I am planning on making this adjustment to the Test Set when I play a couple games after work.

Just my two cents....

See this is why your the expert never thought of the timing slider. I will drop that slider down to 4 instead.

Then last night I accidently saved over my Mariners franchise. So I am going to start on Braves franchise to check their offense, since they are suppose to be one of the weakest.

Looking VERY forward to your stats, esp. first and total strike percentages for the CPU...

And, IMHO:

Don't "sweat the stars"...although I usually craft a set to my personal abilities and taste, your overall approach / concepts and attention to detail are always VERY much appreciated!

*This was based on a 13 game sample, as I didn't start including number of at-bats per game until my 3rd game of testing.

Home Runs Per Game: 0.80 (In Game) vs. 0.83 (2014 LAD)

Opponent Home Runs Per Game: 1.2 (In-Game) vs. 0.88 (LAD 2014)

Slugging Percentage: .412 (In-Game) vs. .406 (LAD 2014)

These are the things that make the countless hours of testing worth it to me, my friends. You'll see that these stats are right in line with the real-life Dodgers from last season. Being that the Dodgers are the only team that I test with, I used their stats from last season as my source material.

I'm confident enough to say that the core offensive sliders (Contact, Power, Solid Hits) shouldn't have any significant changes moving forward. However, even though the stats are pretty much where they should be, I plan on dropping Human Timing by one click, just for a bit more of a challenge, and hopefully, to bring the Human slugging percentage down just a bit. Other than that, I really like what I'm seeing.

Three stars my a*$....LOL

The test set in Post #2 is what I'm currently using. I encourage you to use that one.

The original set is still posted for those liking and/or experiencing realistic stats with that set.

Some minor changes to the Test Set:

1. Human Timing 4
- This is for my personal taste, as I'm trying to maintain the stats that I posted above, while giving myself more of a challenge at the plate. I'm going to test this in my next series, as I want to stay away from changing the core offensive sliders (Contact, Power, Solid Hits).

2. Fielder Arm Strength Infield: 3
- This is more for aesthetic purposes. With the slider at default or even at 4, there were still some really wonky, ugly looking, rushed/rocket throws from infielders. I've only moved it to 3 for the last couple of test games, and I haven't seen any problem with it yet. When I see a Molina beating out an infield single, then maybe I'll change it (LOL), but for now, I see better and smoother fielding animations with it at 3.
