I'm making pretty good contact but it's just constant popups and choppers over and over and over and over...

      Few questions based on curiosity with your gameplay options;

      1) Why do you use Buttons for both the Hitting input and the Pitching interface (classic)? Is this preference only?

      2) Why do you have fielding set to auto? I'm assuming this is just to eliminate user error.

Thanks and again great job this year just like always

Also: A ton of the outfielders throws to the bases are off the mark by a lot, usually pulling the player off the base. Anyway to fix this? Maybe I'm the only one who's experienced it (using the Padres)

I have been testing these and continue to play games with these tweaks. If I feel it is the right sweet spot I will update the OP.

So far I have really enjoyed these slight tweaks.
Hi first does anyone have framerate issues ? like a little clip when the ball is hit and fielded and then thrown ? I didnt notice it before and now in replays and cutscenes too ?

So the other changes were made because Ks were to easy and too many weakly hit balls ?

Once again great stuff as I appreciate your enjoyment for this game

Ill give them a spin now

Update : Im not liking the changes with my style straight QC allstar so Im switching back Solid Hits and Foul ball contact to 3 so should I touch FLD speed or leave it at 5 ? thanks

Ok I took my PS4 off of auto resolution and put at 1080p and the framerate issue stopped

I am noticing it the more I play as well. It's over done sometimes. Some games I have no issues, some games it's erratic.

Give me your upvote! (I feel like a politician, ugh)

I think it was Bobhead in another thread who mentioned that the fielder throwing errors sliders could improve things. I do think it was improved when I moved them down to 4, but then you get well under the MLB average I've found in my limited CPU v CPU tests if you lower both Infield and Outfield throwing errors.

Lowering one makes it match up with the numbers better. I am not sure which one is better to lower because it affects both Outfielder to base and Cutoff man to base. I see both situations where the throws pull the 3rd baseman in particular into foul territory, shallow outfielders or cutoff men. It just feels wrong to me.. these guys are MLB players I know not everyone is Puig but you would think anyone at that level could make a regular throw.

The best solution is for SCEA to be aware and look at, if not for this year then make them aware for next year.

Is anyone else feeling like the strike to ball ratio is pretty far off on the pitching side of things? Not necessarily with the sliders, but with the game in general. I feel as though the only way to be successful is to pound the strike zone - and my walks are probably too low, too.

I mean... I know in real baseball, you gotta throw strikes to be successful... and I'd be pretty frustrated if the game didn't allow me as a pitcher to throw strikes... I guess I don't know what the solution would be.

I guess I'll start keeping notes on the strike-ball ratio, see if they're anywhere close to what I'm getting from my eyeball test.

To be honest I have been doing the majority of my testing with quick counts. I am starting to test more extensively with no quick counts this week and beyond as I think the game is money on quick counts with these settings (recent tweaks which will make it on the OP shortly).

I can tell you quick counts helps a bunch with pitch counts, and ball to strike ratios. If you enjoy quick counts I think you actually get more simulation like pitching numbers and outcomes in regards to pitcher stamina etc etc.

                    Just my take.

Re: Armor & Sword's MLB The Show 15 Timed (Directional)/Classic Simulation Sliders

I like the idea of Quick Counts, and I'll probably end up moving to QC after I've settled in for the season, but at the moment, I'm really enjoying playing every pitch. In fact, other than (on the pitching side) walks (and to a lesser extent) strikeouts, I'm feeling like this is near perfect.

Still a few too many home runs on the offensive side, but that could be chalked up to a power surge - I haven't really played enough games to see if that's an actual trend or something else.

Speaking of: Do you happen to know if the game accounts for your in-season stats at all? Like, if it's "expecting" Player X to hit .320/.400/.480, and after a bad first half, you're actually hitting .260/.310/.380, would the in-game mechanics give you a little boost to attempt to bring those numbers up where they "should" be?

I've been wondering if the game is somehow rubber-banding my offense after a disastrously slow pre-All Star half (batted .237). From the sounds of things on the forum, I'm in the minority by having it almost too easy at the plate.

The Player ratings that SCEA gives to every player is based on a 3 year average. In the past I have started slow with certain guys whom I depended on for star like numbers and have recovered. But if I do have a slow first two months....it's hard to get to your historical averages. I have had outlier type seasons too. For example right now I am killing it with Mike Pagliarulo in terms of BA. He is hitting a hair under .300 and has 19 HR's thru June 27th. In 1987 he hit .236 with 32 HR's. His career average is .241 17 HR and 66 RBI's

I am on a torrid pace with him so far. In fact my 1987 Yankees are hitting the snot out of the ball after a rough April. May and June I have killed it at the plate.

I don't expect that to last though. But when guy's go on hot streaks they can really turn up the statistical performance. Likewise when they hit the skids and go cold. It can be brutal.

If you have played this game as long as I have....you know you go through a month where the ball is the size of a watermelon. Then a month when it is a pea.

Hey everyone. When I start a Franchise it asks me if I want to use "Current" rosters or the "Live Roster." I was just wondering if anyone knows the difference between the two? Also, Armor I was just wondering if you happen to know of any quick slider tweaks I can/should make for using Pulse pitching (I am currently using your Hybrid set and was just wondering if I should make any tweaks since I am using Pulse pitching instead of Classic). Thanks and thank you for these amazing sliders!

Current Roster is the roster that you currently have loaded when you start the Franchise. Live Roster is the SCEA downloaded roster.

Is starter stamina staying at 7 for quick counts?

Also, were you not seeing enough injuries on default to have injuries at 7?
