I also Simmed the first week of the season with both at 0 and had 7 complete games out of a total of 77 games. 9%, which isn't bad for sim stats and yeah I know the MLB average is like 2 or 3% but we can't make the sliders negative! Lol.

Re: Pitcher stamina sliders
Wouldn't lowering the hook have the manager leave the pitcher in longer or is it reversed? I was just playing a game on 7 and my starter threw 125 pitches thru the 7th inning and still had 25% left in the tank, with 8 K's and 2 BB's. Is that what your shooting for? I don't know if I like it that high personally, hell I don't know. Just hard trying to find a happy medium with this.
Maybe I have it at 6. My pitchers typically get tired around 100 pitches, and they are all in the 80s for stamina. Lester can go a little deeper because his is at 89.
EDIT: You were right, raising the Manager Hook slider makes the manager take the starter out more quickly. As for the HUM stamina slider, I do have it at 7 for my games sliders... I do remember now that the "getting tired" message comes when pitchers have about 25% stamina left. I just played a game with Jason Hammel last night and I got that message right at his 100th pitch. His stamina is a 78, so I might lower it back to 6.Last edited by Jr.; 06-23-2015, 12:27 PM.Comment

Re: Pitcher stamina sliders
I believe lowering the slider makes the manager remove the pitcher sooner. It says it in the slider explanation, I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head.

I believe the average number of pitches per inning is between 12 and 16 if all goes well, obviously the bigger innings will see more or you could get that beautiful 3-5 pitch inning, due to the other team hacking away. It's so unpredictable.Comment

Re: Pitcher stamina sliders
I've been using these for the games that get simmed:
Starting Pitcher Stamina: 3
Relief Pitcher Stamina: 1
Manager Hook: 6
I'm still hearing about complete games every radio show, in the last one I heard the guy say there was 3 or 4 complete games. Every day there is at least one complete game.
What should I change? Surely I shouldn't be getting that many complete games.
My complete game stats for all teams actually look a little like that in the above link. The only thing is that I'm 15 games into the regular season.Last edited by nbacoventry; 07-07-2015, 05:21 AM.Comment

SP Stamina (both cpu and user): 1
RP Stamina (both cpu and user): 6
Manager Hook: 5
Stats look much more realistic in both CGs and IP at the end of the season. I'd caution against going too far up on the manager hook, because then the problem is you get dozens of relievers with 90-120 appearances (which I don't think anyone else has noticed yet...or at least I haven't seen it mentioned) when the most used guys in real life make 70-80 appearances out of the pen.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: Pitcher stamina sliders
Interesting find. I had tested both at 0 and hook at 10, and in one month I still saw somewhere around 20 CG.Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players

MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: Pitcher stamina sliders
I have yet to test this out this year. Is too many CGs still an issue this year?? Wondering if I will still need to sim games with lowered pitcher stamina sliders.Comment

Re: Pitcher stamina sliders
I admit I don't bother. I know I'll forget because I often start my next game from the team screen (i.e. hitting X on my next schedule game box) which sims everything else.
Plus, far enough in, the pitching stats are...interesting...as it is. CGs being off just joins in. If the Giants can have a 2.22 team ERA in 2021, what's a few extra CGs?Heck, some teams hardly have any (Diamondbacks have exactly 1 at the ASB).
