I will say that with this slider set, I have seen more wild pitches than normal, and I have been hit by pitches at least once per game by the computer which seems high, sometimes it's been 3 HBP.

There are two main factors that affect HBP:

Pitcher Consistency slider and the batter's discipline rating (and BB/9 and control of the pitcher too).

Check against simmed teams by looking at the individual player stats for each team. There should be a total count on the bottom.

If you're seeing too many HBP, increase Consistency to 1. Last year having that side at zero was perfect.

Well, I just threw a no-hitter with Homer Bailey against the Rangers. I'd say these sliders are perfect! lol.

Your sliders look pretty good man and I am going to plug them in this weekend.......only question I have is if anyone uses classic pitching.....how should we set the sliders for human to duplicate Mike Lowe's results?

Ive played a handful of games and id like to see the cpu offense show a little bit more of a threat. Im going to increase their timing to 2 and see how that affects the statistics as it seems most of their offensive woe's are attributed to poorly timed swings on hittable pitches.

I actually started this set using classic pitching last year, so you should be fine. I didn't change anything because of that when I switched over to meter.

Guys, I was planning to stream another test franchise game today if there's a time folks will be around to chat. I've noticed some similar things like the AI offense not being as dangerous, so we can look to make some subtle changes.

Right now, I'm waiting on a fix for carryover franchise, and also the OSFM rosters, because one way or another, to play franchise I need at least one of them!

sliders have been fun and challenging so far. Like others have said cpu could be a little more dangerous..but for me its a small sample size..only 1 series played in my chise so far.
Quick question though regarding injuries. Is it to high? Ive had a player go down in 3 straight games lol they haven't been serious..no time needed on DL but none the less..just wondering if you've seen anything. Like i said its a small sample but still.

                  Thanks!

                    Thanks!
Yeah, similar to a few other sliders that we're discussing. 9 was perfect last year, and it could be slightly too high this year. Let's see how it plays out with more testing. If it's too much for you, try 8, but definitely scroll through the league injuries to see if your team falls somewhere in the range of other teams, assuming your players have similar durability ratings as other teams, and you're not a team of Cal Ripken Jr's.

I agree. I'll give it a few more games and take a look around the league. On another note..I was in a stale mate with the Astros had 1 hit going into the bottom of the fourth when boom 2 men got on and A-Rod blasted one. Just goes to show the diversity of the game and how things can change quickly just like in real life! love it

I'm testing out AI contact and solid contact up by 1 notch to 5.

Already in some trouble here in the 1st!

Made some changes to the first post based on the feedback here for:

                            *Increased AI offense
                            *Less human pitching control
*Less swings and misses for human which should also help decrease human BB while batting a bit

Oh let's go ahead and bump injuries down a notch to 8 as well.

                                Mike,

New to the community here, last year was my first with a PS and the Show...First, thanks for all your effort and contribution to the community.

Played my first game in my franchise last night
...O's beat my Braves 2 to 1 (I like to take the worst teams and build them up). Pretty good gameflow: Nice balance among ground balls, pop-ups, line drives etc. Game played really well/very sim. I've been a sim-sports-gamer since I was started playing Tony La Russa baseball when I was 10, so bravo so far.

Only issue was I felt it was a little easy to K the cpu, and I think cpu Offense could be SLIGHTLY more dangerous, but i'm only 1 game in to spring training in firs year of franchise.

                                Quick Question
: Are you going to be adding the adjustments to the vault as you make them? If so, I'm hoping I can simply download them as you do and integrate them into my franchise as they come out...Sorry, I'm a total newb to the show.
