Ditto to that. I feel like even guys with only decent speed can beat out a ground ball to short if the SS stays back and waits on it. Sometimes they just flat out beat it on what should be routine.

Other than that, i'm getting a lot of low scoring 3-2, 2-1, 1-0 type games. Teams are getting hits, though it seems like scoring runs is feast or famine and up to the long ball. I need to update my set with the most recent changes and i'll play more tonight.

      Game Notes

-Felt good overall. Fielders didn't make many mistakes that I wouldn't see in a normal game. Base running just seems different this year. CPU was more aware that Sano's arm in the outfield was only a 65 and the Tigers ran on it frequently putting guys on 3rd or scoring because Sano just couldn't throw the ball straight into the infield with great accuracy or speed

-McCann had a horrible game behind the plate. 2 passed balls and a fielding error allowed the Twins to runners on 3rd twice (both scoring the only 2 runs). He made up for it though with a solo shot off Jepsen on a high fastball

-Sano was the best hitter on the Twins going 2-3 with a walk but his lack of range in the outfield was killing me the whole game

High K rate for Norris but his off speed stuff was really getting to me. CPU did a good job of holding the slider in reserve and really seemed to learn quickly after I had a great 1st inning (2 hits, run scored, walk, Norris threw almost 30 pitches)

-Duffey struggled to good hitters and was right about where I would expect his line to be in real life. Same for Norris who has a 72 hit rating. Only gave up 3 hits the whole game and located fairly well

-I'll play more later but so far nice contrast between this one and a Red Sox/Angels game I played last night where I just teed off on Weaver & the Halos for 7 runs, 15 hits on route to a 7-0 shutout

Too many infield hits. I bumped Infielder arm strength back up to 4. Left OF strength at 3.

Still posting low scoring games. I will keep at it.

Out of curiosity, is anyone getting games over 8 runs (total) on a consistent bases? The average runs/game total is around 8 and I have only had that twice in my past 11 games with these updated sliders. I KNOW that is a very small sample size, that is why I am asking what others have encountered.

Remember, this is only for the UPDATED TNK & PsychoBulk 2016 Sliders.

I'm starting to believe this game is more pitcher friendly as a whole.

My first three games using the new updates:

            6-4
            4-3
            9-5

I see a noticeable uptick in offense since the changes.

            Stick at it.

I've had it close to that in back to back games right now (7 in the first, 7 in the 2nd) but that could be because I was using the Red Sox and Twins against the Tigers and Angels who all have some pop in their bats. I'm going to try some more offensively challenged teams and see what happens

I guess it depends on how they are presented in the vault?

Played my first game with the updated sliders, lost 9-5 (I was the Cubs vs. the Angels). I think I had 16 hits and they had 15. The only changes I played with were both fastball and off speed pitch speed at the default 5 (I have a slow reaction time on these games) and I also left guess pitch ON but I only guessed right a few times so I don't think it made a huge difference.

On a side note how do you post your game stats in those nice looking box scores on the forums here?

                        Game Notes:

-Nelson felt good overall, struggled in the 3rd to get outs but escaped relatively unscathed and both runs could be attributed to Chris Carter overthrowing second base trying to get a double play going on Peavy's bunt (50+ fielding so that seemed about right actually. Shouldnt have tried the risky throw to 2nd)

-Turned 3 double plays and missed 1 on the botched Carter throw

-Overall a very close game that I really didn't know who would win. Even in the 9th the Giants managed to get 2 on with 1 out and threatened but PH Kelby Tomlinson harmlessly flew out to Santana for the 2nd out

-Top hitter for the Giants was Brandon Belt. 3-4 with a double

                        - Top hitter for the Brewers was Lucroy. 1-2 with 2 walks. Picked him because he started the rally in the 4th and singled to keep the rally alive in the 5th which brought up Carter with the go ahead single

Played first game with TNK and Pyscho Hybrid (from Vault).
Only thing I changed was pitch speed, I set it to 5 for both (since this was listed as user preference).

I am using Directional Hitting w/ Classic Pitching.

I was Yankees vs Angels in Anaheim.

Wayyyyy too much offense as I won 14-7.
                          Here some highlight notes:

                          - I hit 5 HRs (the most the Yankees have hit in their history in a game is 6)
                          - 2 of the 5 HRs were grandslams (ARod and Brett Gardner)
                          - Angels hit 4 HRs
                          - I walked 5 times, 2 with Ellsbury
                          - I K'd 6 times, 3 times looking (I am selective)
                          - CPU only K'd 5 times
                          - There were over 30 hits combined
                          - I did not hit any doubles, anything solid was a HR
                          - CPU hit 3 doubles

                          Comments:

I know it was only one game, but there was obviously too much offense. With Power and Contact @ 6 I feel it leaves little room for hit variety...balls that are squared up end up being rockets or bombs. There needs to be something in between. I am torn as to which to recommend to lower. I think I should have struck out more so I say timing, but I also think I needed to hit less HRs, so I say power.

I think the solution would be to lower Power to 5, and compensate by raising Solid Hits +1.
This will help get more liners/doubles in the gap but reduce some of the bombs when you time something perfect.

I think Strike:Ball ratio is on point for both CPU and Human. Both of us made mistakes and left pitches in hittable zones but with Power and Contact settings, they got punished every single time.

I will play another 5-6 games with this set and report back.

Please do...you know im going to talk about one game

The same reason the other folks above saying they are still seeing little offense even with the changes - people forget a LOT of this is to do with the user ability.

If you are too good for AS then you may need HOF, if you struggle on AS then you may need Veteran.

Sliders simply attempt to make the game play realistically - they dont make you as humans better or worse players.

I THINK that upping the pitch speed back up to "8" may help tone down your offense a bit? THAT said & only 5 games in (A's test franchise) I may end up lowering power or solid hit slider a notch or two on the user side... I'm crushing balls all over the place! Billy Burns, upper deck!

DO like what the AI is doing offensively though (which is most important to me)
