Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders

So to freshen up MLB 16 while I eagerly await 17 to drop in a few weeks, I went ahead and started hitting with the Fish Eye Camera.

Wow.....I really love it. For MLB 17 I will be using Fish Eye. Don’t get me wrong. I still love the Offset Zoom Camera, but Fish Eye is such a visual feast and has made the game open up more with stances and stadiums.

Also I am picking up pitches even better. Pretty wild how late (basically the very end) in my time with 16 I made this change.

Anyway I will be firing up a brand new MLB 17 slider thread on release day. I am happy report I will be taking the 29th - 31st off to jam MLB 17 and hopefully get our version 1.0 All-Star Slider set out by the weekend. Knowing how amazing the game is tuned out of the box on All-Star I don’t think it will take too long to hone in on a set that suits our specific style of play. I will be streaming oodles and oodles of various games in a test 30 team franchise.

Looking forward to it Show Nation!!!

How long did it take you to adjust to Fish Eye? I used that for a while, then made the move to Offset Zoom and after some time, came to really love that view. Not sure I have the patience to go back, lol.

Literally one game. I love offset zoom too. Great camera as well.

Fisheye is definitely now my favorite batting cam to use. Been using it since release day, after we saw it in the pre-release streams.

Such a great view of the stadiums.

I really want to like Fish Eye. Struggled with it early on. Maybe I should practice with it before 17 comes out and give it another go. Currently using my own created camera view.

Fish eye certainly gives you a better view of the stadiums, and I think it gives you more time to judge the pitch however.....

pitcher seems like he is a mile away, and it strains my eyes a bit.

Any tips to help acclimate me to this view, because visually it looks great.

Side note: been using MLB 15 and MLB 16 view all year long.

Mmmmm tough to say. If anyone else can chime in on this? I just sit a little closer to the TV and yes it is a bit more tiring on the eyes in this view if I sit too far away from the TV. I feel where you are coming from.

I would say if you can't adjust, continue on the camera view you can play with no stress at all.

I borrowed 16 to play pass the time until 17 comes out. Is there any sliders that make the computer outfielders not all gold glove vacuums that dive catch anything withing a 5 mile radius?

These sliders balance outfield play to a highly realistic level. Read the OP as these are designed playing a specific style. Auto fielding, manual throwing, classic pitching and Directional/Timed hitting.

Bad OF’s are bad, average are average and elite are elite.

                          Have fun with it.

Thanks! I did the sliders but I guess I will have to change the game settings to match it. My problem seems to be my opponents outfielders seem to make spectacular diving catches robbing me of hits all the time.

Keep in mind a baseball season is 162 games. I can assure you if you play over 100 games minimum.....you will see some amazing variety.

But 17 will be even better. We are going to get the best Show yet next week!!!
