Same here. I tried the new Fish Eye and while it is a gorgeous view I can't pick the ball up well with that camera (My son plays on Fish Eye LOL young buck he is).
I use Offset Zoom and love it!!! I had used Catcher Zoom 3 last season and on MLB 14 but this replaced that. Just a great view in the batter box and it allows me to really see the ball out of the pitchers hand the way I need to see it to pick up the pitch/spin/velocity.
Fielder Speed is now 2 and Base Stealing Ability is now 6Comment

And while we are at here, I am just over 3 weeks away from finsihing an entire 2016 season with the Twins using this slider set to a T (well....base stealing at 7) and without simulating a single game, QC on. I intend to post a detailed 1st season review for you and post in on here asap (because yeah....there will be no post season to delay that hahaha....ugh).Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Bravo, guys. Been using these for a week now. Seems to me that the adjustments to CPU pitching and those to Fielding have opened up the game in a huge and fun way.
I'm seeing less popups to the catcher, more varieties in not only the types of hits in play, but contact hits that turn into outs. Pitchers aren't as accurate around the black part of the zone, and it's much easier to generate a longer count without feeling cheated or that you're cheating. Fielding seems more organic than default on both ends, as it seems the sliders have opened up the animations and made them more fluent. I even believe it's opened up commentary, as well, as I've heard more new lines of commentary I haven't before.
I always thought it was the "hitting" sliders that needed to be adjusted, but with them nearly being default on all, it looks like the key was the fielding sliders the whole time. I love em!Comment

Did you upload an update slider set to the vault ?Comment

Just watched this, nice game. I hate how they gave all the current Marlins players a trumpy looking orange tint to their skin. Justin Bohr (who is on the bucs in your chise) looks like an umpa lumpa.Comment

Not quite as polished as I'd like, but I recently completed an entire season with the Twins, playing every game with this (almost) exact slider set with Quick Counts.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
1-An update came out that REALLY seemed to tighten up CPU hitting. But I had played about 35 games before that, and my totals were a bit abnormally high.
2-A lot of those innings went to Ervin Santana, who had a bizar K/9 (around 10.5).
3-Quick Counts certainly lent intself to a few more K's, as it did walks (both issued and drawn).
4- Over 300 combined innings by Severino and Berrios, in place of usual suspects of the Twins rotation( and tendency to draft one Brad Radke after another).....
I personally couldn't imagine pitching this whole season on HOF. I finished 24th in walks, 28th in ERA and 29th in HR allowed the way it is lol. How much of that is a testament to the fact that I throw the API pitch every single time I am not sure, because I've always done so.
But I feel like this slider set is a resounding success with QC on, for those of you that struggle to find the right settings for them.Comment

Armor, are you still using All-Star difficulty for pitching or have you gone back to Hall of Fame?Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Been using All-Star....HOF was a short experiment for me way back in April...did not last long.
All-Star is my sweet spot after finalizing these settings. HOF for me on classic was brutal on my bullpen. Just brutal. Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Hall of Fame is where I have to be. There's just one area that I'd really like to tweak but I'm worried about the domino effect if I change anything. I give up too many home runs when compared to how many hits I give up. I'm one of the best teams at limiting the amount of hits I give up but I'm one of the worst at giving up home runs. I'm thinking about turning down CPU power just a bit but I don't want that to result in them getting even fewer hits.
I love Hall of Fame because I feel like I walk more batters than I do on All-Star.Comment

Just one of the reasons I don't like HoF+ for Classic pitching.
As for the walks, lower control, consistency (not by much, I use 4 control, 6 consistency and walk guys, especially from lower BB/9 and Control types), and/or intentionally pitch out of the zone more (the big one for me). If you follow MLB average, no more than 45% of your pitches should be intended strikes.
The rest of the strikes should be chases. If they lay off or the balls are too far off to be tempting, that might be walks (and HBP and WP and PB).
I try to follow that with one or two exceptions allowed for "Colon-style" (i.e. pound the zone always) pitching. Most pitchers, even with good control, aim out of the zone more than not. Good control just makes tempting balls that get chased instead of easy takes or leaks back into the zone."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Hey guys, I think I may roll with 7/5/5/5/3 for human. I tried contact at 7 for the CPU and got demolished (12 runs on 14 hits). I think I may stick to 6. How is everyone else doing with a higher contact?Comment
