I am seeing more errors than normal. I see what people have been talking about with drop catches. Hope it's fixed in a patch

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders

        Hello
        Greetings from England.
        2nd year MLB fan/TheShow User
        Love these sliders.
May I ask the users some questions

1# I play season Mode (offline), and want to control all the teams. I want injuries to happen, is there a setting in the season set up to ensure that injuries exist (wasnt it worded weirdly like CPU Roster Control Off>?)

2# Regarding the Rosters that are in the vault. Last year when i downloaded some user Rosters from the vault (which is a bloody brilliant idea btw) there was an issue with the game crashing at the Draft (Orioles logo filling the slots)
Has this been resolved since last years?

3#Catcher Mitt icon in Pitching window. Is there anyway to remove the Cathers mit from the box (when im pitching>
What exactly is it for? Does it influence anything?
Should I be locating my pitches in it?

Thanks again...sorry if these are bonehead questions.

Armour, I'm curious to know what was the "last straw" in regards to your decision to move to HOF pitching? Too many k's? Not giving up any hits/runs? AllStar pitching is easier this year? I'm no where near making that decision yet but I would like to know when I might have to make that decision. After losing to KC 6-4 in game 1 of my franchise, I'm winning 6-0 in game 2 after 7 innings. I have given up 3 hits, 0 walks and 8 k's. So just curious what led you to your decision. Thanks

This is something going back to MLB 15 I had been kicking around. The last 80 or so games I played in this series I have been feeling like I was too good on the bump. And this year with precision input I was flat out dominating on the mound early on and it really sealed the deal for me.

I have been using classic pitching since MLB 09 It was time to step up the difficulty for myself. The CPU chases more (which is a very good thing) and I am very good at setting hitters up. I want to pay for poor location though and mistake pitches with more runs allowed and walks.

HOF I hope will provide that. And I am confident it will.

              Armor, couple questions.
Do you use no ball marker at all when pitching?
I love the move up to HOF pitching!

              Why classic pitching over meter?
Have you tried meter? Just wondering.

Love this set so far, thanks!

Got a game in last night with HOF pitching. It definitely felt harder, but in a good way. I think you might be onto something with this.

Yeah, HOF feels great so far and makes you nibble more on great hitters. That will result in more walks and higher pitch counts. End of the rotation starters will get hit more often. Although last night C.C. threw almost a gem for me (one mistake pitch to Igelsias for a 2R HR which was the difference in the game). He lost 2-1....probably will get bombed his next 2-3 starts LOL.

So I've been playing RTTS quite a bit the past couple days. Playing as a SS on the Yankees. I carried this save over from MLB 15, where I didn't play very much.

Anyway I finished season 1, in which I got called up to the majors just after All Star break. I struggled mightily at the plate early on hitting under .100 for a while but eventually got better towards the end of the year and finished hitting just under .220 I think (still not great I know) with 8 HR's in about 65 games. We (Yankees) won the AL East and so I get some playoff action as a Rookie

We are up against the Mariners in the ALDS and so far I've played game 1 and stopped for now cuz I had to post about it lol. It was a matchup of 21 win King Felix and 2015 AL MVP and Cy Young winner Masahiro Tanaka so a real matchup of aces.

I come up to the plate in bottom of 2nd and after taking first 2 pitches out of zone I got a FB almost right down the middle and hit a HR into the bullpen in right centerfield and I was buzzing lol. After a single in my 2nd at bat I was very happy. Then in my 3rd at bat in the 5th inning I saw a high FB first pitch and hit another HR to almost the exact same spot in the bullpen lol. I literally jumped out of my seat lol. Sadly I only popped out in my final at bat but we won 4-2, I went 3 for 4 with 2 HR's and all 4 of my teams RBI's. It seems my player is made for the postseason lol.

My best performance at the plate so far comes in my first playoff game unreal! I was getting pretty down and frustrated earlier in the season but after sticking with the sliders and settings through the struggles and seeing the rewards now I almost feel like I presume some players do in real life when everything finally seems to click into place. It's been a true experience of the lows and highs of baseball and I'm sure they'll be more to come soon lol

Sorry for the long post. But I just had to share my feelings at this time. Hope I managed to get across the point that I'm loving this game and your guys settings only enhance the experience

I listen to the catcher 100% of the time. I aim to the location he suggests and press the bottom of the pitch he wants. With this very simplistic approach, do you think AllStar will be fine for me? I beat KC 4-1 and gave up 5 hits. Of course now I'm thinking I need to move up to HOF pitching

I bloody love this game and I bloody love this slider set! Currently 8 4 up going into the 8th against the Yankees me blue jays with 9 hits to 8, yet last game I struggled and lost 4 1 to the Yankees after being 1 nil up coming into the 8th. Gave up 1 hit till the 8th then changed pitcher and boom I got smoked in the 8th..... Loving it from across the pond!

Been playing with your sliders on MLB for several years now - love them, and this year is no different! You and I must be of similar age because in your intro this year you mentioned the game Hardball. Oh, the times spent by my buddies and I back when Accolade released that game (and also 4th-and-Inches.) We had a group of about eight of us that played Hardball - we would create our own teams and do seasons, so much fun! I've at times thought about trying to bat from the pitcher's perspective but would probably be pretty hard in this game! We also played the crap out of Street Sports Baseball - not quite the game as Hardball, but we'd get into screaming matches over picking players before the game!

One question for ya - I pitch from the Broadcast cam and from time to time (maybe with lefties) I can't see the catcher's signals. Any of you ever have that happen?

Also - did they remove the ability to take warm-up pitches with your starting pitcher? I do full games (no quick counts,) and I have the option selected for 'warming up pitchers,' but when the game starts it immediately goes to the first batter without giving me a chance to warm-up my starter. I need that 10-pitch warm-up to feel him out so I know where the 'vibration point' is located in his wind-up.
