It has been really frustrating for me the last ten or so games I've played. It just feels like the outcomes are predetermined. I guess I'll stick with it a bit longer but it is really starting to get on my nerves.

Sounds like your swing timing is off to me.

Are you constantly in front of pitches or behind? I had the same issue..I was behind everything. I lowered pitch speed one notch for each slider and was golden.

So, if you are in front everything, raise each pitch speed slider a notch and if behind, lower each a notch.

I just can't get the second profile to stick, even when I set my team to manual and the others to the CPU profile everything still shows up manual for the CPU teams in the franchise

Played another game tonight against Minnesota and after the 19 hits surrendered last game I wasn't nearly as confident especially with Heston on the mound. Well...he didn't disappoint as he gave up 9 runs in 6 innings in route to a 12-6 loss and another 15 hits surrendered. My pitching has gone south lately as I've now given up 45 hits in the last 3 games.

Officially the Chris Heston experiment is over, optioned to AAA where he can rot. After posting a 6.93 ERA over 60 IP I couldn't take it anymore, guys were hitting over .320 off him, he threw more wild pitches then anyone else on the team and surrendered hits like it was his job.

Thing is I'm enjoying every second of this game even when I'm getting smacked around, still plays a great game of baseball. Thanks to the Angels going 9-1 in their last 10 games I'm now a full game behind for the division which is nice as I was starting to worry I'd run away with it. Besides the plethora of HR's and wild pitches lacking any aggressiveness from the catcher I think this year's game is the best they've ever made imo.

So well that is why I moved up from my typical 3/5 to 5/7 this year.

Had to replay game 1 of my Yankees franchise. I won 6-3. I used pitch speed at 6/8 like I did last year. After the game I checked and all 10 of my hits were on fastballs and 9 of my 10 k's were on sliders or change ups. Change ups killed me. Is this an indication that I should move my pitch speed sliders to 7/9? I'm curious if other directional hitters are using the same pitch speed as last year.

Do you have to use a type of influence every time? If not then I don't know what the matter is but I'm about fed up.

What is everyone else having good results with?
Before you give up you might want to try this simplification of the WarmWinds hitting approach. First look at your batter tendencies. If it is a pull hitter influence pull, a push hitter influence push and a balanced hitter influence straight down. Of course mix any of these according to the situation (by far my most used is down in late counts). Give away straight up if you are getting too many pop ups. I just had a game where I had a chance to win in the 9th with a man on 3rd. Pull hitter up and despite every bone in my body wanting to influence up I stuck with pull influence and ended up hitting what would have been a double for the win. Good Luck!

That's the problem. I'm talking about all the pop-ups that are being hit when my timing is on.

                  Armor,
What do you think of the new buckshot PCI?
I personally love it but many people on the forums really hate it.
After thinking about it, you probably have it turned off don't you??

Am I missing something? When I'm batting I can press R2 and get a history of my current at bat. I would LOVE to see this history when the CPU is batting to help set up the hitter. I also switched to HOF pitching and love the challenge and realism (can't lose concentration or take a pitch off). But it would be nice to see history of current at bat. Is this available somewhere?

Also question on pitch speed. I use regular PS4 and regular HD tv. Has pitch speed changed this year? I was using 6/8 last year with good results. Started with 6/8 this year and all my hits are coming off fastballs. WAY ahead on sliders and change ups. Only played 2 games so far against Archer and Cobb so maybe just good pitching?? I hit with Custom 1 camera and zoom that in so I can just see half of home plate.

                      Thanks for the help

                        You can see it.

Click the right thumb stick down when pitching.

Really? That's awesome. Never knew that before. Can't wait to get home from work to play (again)

Any thoughts on if pitch speed had changed this year? Are you using the same speeds as last year?

I am going to try out HOF hitting starting tonight as well.

Time to see if I am ready for that level at the dish. And I also want to see the pitchers AI and if it indeed get's better...or if it is a case of your PCI and timing window just shrinking.

I want to make sure the ratings matter first and foremost, then your skill at working counts and sitting on pitches.

Still loving these sliders! I'm playing a season with the Yankees and was 11-5 going to Boston.
Doing really well, i crushed Pittsburgh in the series before going to Boston.
Was thinking about adjusting the sliders a bit to make the game more difficult.........and then i met Chris Sale.

He shut me out, had my 1st hit in the 6th inning. I was 6-0 behind at that time.
Managed to get back point by point and tied the game 6-6. Then Boston had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. So did the intentional walk......and lost the game on a gapper to right center.....loved it!

Thanks for these sliders, they really changed the game for me.
It's now all about focus....when swinging on bad pitches i lose. When i'm more focused i let those bad pitches go by and get into a good pitch count....and then try to take advantage of that. Feels so good.
