I actually don't understand playing the game this way. If you want the stats to be simulation like and as close a RL as possible, then why not just quick manage the games, straight sim, or have some control and enjoy the beauty of game with manager mode (Manager mode is awesome from time to time). Otherwise actually play and control the inputs with zone hitting, meter pitching, manual fielding, and meter throwing.

Oakland V Rangers.. I had a 4-0 lead in the first innings against AJ Griffith 3 hits, cleared the bases with one.

then he retired about 13 in a row, but as usual the CPU did the old manager hook because it was a 4-0 lead, so can tell you now even with manager hook still at 2, the the patch has not fixed the SP hook problem. and his pitch count was only in the 70s, the game seen 4-0 as the score and a lefty on lefty simple as that and made the change. it ignored that he had retired 13 in a row

I was the away team so I 'knew' they would come back because the way this game works the away team always comes back//

ended up losing 6-5 they got to a 6-4 lead, I scored in the 9th but got caught out at home plate by a inch for the final out to lose the game

a thrilling game with a huge mix.

I can't hit anymore. Putting the cpu consistency slider at 5 it has been tough for me to hit the ball. It has definitely made hitting more of a challenge. But I am loving it.

the league average is about 8 hits per game. for a team keep that in mind, with your hitting. I seem to be on average of about 6 or 7 so I am behind. I put solid hits up to 6.

I like the sliders where they are perfect for me. Before this cold spell I was hitting the cover off the ball. I think we're just in a little slump but I love the consistency tweak for pitching. This game is so amazing

Yeah but that's kinda how it is in real life. Look at all the good players they're hitting in the low 200 right now. In about 15 to 20 games they will be right back where they usually are. You definitely go through hot and cold streaks in this game I have had to 6 game winning streaks and now I'm on my second four-game losing streak about to be 5

2 game win streak for my fantasy draft Cubbies.

Last game was Adam Conley (me) vs Brett Anderson (Brewers). The fourth starters.

Conley pitched well all game. Only ended up giving up a solo homer to big Joey Gallo who hit his second in 2 games (last game wasn't against me).

Saladino started off my scoring with a solo homer in the 3rd inning. Zunino and Baez had good games hitting. Baez contributed another homer later on in the game.

It was 5-1 going into the 9th for me. I had a run of the mill reliever in just getting him some work trying to close out the game. He ended up giving up a couple hits and a run. So I brought in Colome for his first save opportunity of the season with the game at 5-2. Colome ends up giving up a big double and the Brewers cut the lead to 5-4. Colome does retire the last two batters though and the Cubs take a big sigh of relief as they move on to 2-2 on the season.

So my impression so far after the Patch are the home runs are gone in my game so far have played 5 games and have had one Total Home Run. Balls that I'm heading solid that would have been gone before the patch or Lazy Fly balls in my opinion. Are you guys hitting home runs still?

I think these are looking REALLY good...like REALLY good. I got my first two in with my Rays franchise....a 6-2 loss to the Yanks and a 3-1 loss to the Jays.

The Yanks game was ALL CC...he was painting the corners and dominating aside for two HRs (a 350 ft wall-scraper by Weeks and a 440 shot by Dickerson). The Yanks banged-out 16 hits in the win, with Odorizzi constantly having to work out of jams.

The Jays game...let's just say I hate Estrada. He had me SO off-balance for a while with his offspeed stuff. I finally settled-down and got some good ABs. All three Jays runs occurred off Snell. This is the great part....he threw 106 pitches in 4.1 innings (56% strikes) and walked 5 batters. I brought in Eovaldi, who settled things down and pitch 4.2 to finish the game. Estrada had 95 pitches going into the 9th up 3-0, got an out, then surrendered a double and was pulled. I scraped the run across off of Osuna...but that was it.

Just no downsides at all....

One thing...in the Yankees game, the hit variety resulted in 4 diving OF catch attempts (2 made, 2 not) and a few other balls in that "no man's land" IF/OF gap. To me, that is the strongest sign that the hit variety is there....when you start seeing those kinds of ball, that is beyond awesome. The fact that the variety has improved with these settings tells me beyond a doubt that the hitting settings have been modified.

I love the way this slider set is playing. Just since the patch human offense has went down big time. It looks like you only scored 3 runs in 2 games. In my 5 games since the patch I have scored 2 1 0 0 2. Pre patch I was averaging 4.4 a game. I know it's a small sample size but I think we might have a problem.
