Nah...I don't think it's the patch....we're adjusting to the higher pitch consistency setting....the timing of that change just overlapped the new patch too closely (making it easy to blame the patch...it for sure deadened solid hits, which is why armor adjusted). I KNOW my issue in my games was having far less discipline (not to mention that I lost at least 3 runs in a game due to a "wrong button" baserunning gaffe).

I hope so I did play 4 or 5 games before the patch with consistency on 5 and hit pretty good. I do agree it is definitely harder to lay off pitches. I'm going to keep grinding for sure. Still loving the hell out of this game. It is so good.

I just test drove these in franchise mode and they look great post-patch. I hopped into a Stros franchise and faced off against King Felix. He dominated through 6 but gave up a walk and a hit in the 7th and got yanked (full counts). Seemed spot on. Then they brought in a lefty reliever, I pinch hit Gattis for McCann, and I put a 3-run HR 455 feet over the left-center wall to go up 4-3.

I wound up winning 4-3 with 8 hits for me and 9 for them. They had 2 doubles and I had a double and a HR.

It looks to me like the solid hits are there (i.e. hitting not being totally nerfed by the patch).

I didn't see anything "off" except for the annoying bat sound, which is well-documented. But that aside, full games look really good.

Talk bout having 2 different types of games...Yanks vs rays..one game I win 12-2 both teams had 13 hits but I had 4 home runs...next game I lose 3-0 they had 6 hits and I had 1..they hit no home runs first game and 2 in the 2nd..i left it at power 4.

I haven't played my franchise yet, but I did play all 3 of my rtts players and they all played great, and by no means a complaint, but I did notice with both the position guys that the cpu was throwing a lot of 1 2 strikes right down the heart of the plate. Really hard to hold off and get into deep counts.

Yeah same here, offense feels gutless and weak since the patch. In 3 games I've done next to nothing and I've had some fat pitches to hit and instead watched as they got hit up the middle, slowed down and got cut off by the 2B for an easy out when those were singles 2 days ago before the patch dropped.

They clearly did something to attempt to cut down on HR's, it almost feels like having the power slider at 4 is more in line with having it at 3 pre-patch. I raised power back to default for last game and it felt a little better. I figure if the patch negatively effected HR's to the point that raising the CPU Power slider was an option then might as well raise my power as well and see if it makes the game feel a little better.

Just to follow-up....just rapped 15 hits and scored 10 runs on the Phils (previous game held to 3 runs on 8 hits....). Yeah, runs still happen....

Other than one game, my offense has been terrible. I have been shutout 4 times in 10 games. I work the counts and wait for my pitches but it seems like whenever they leave a pitch down the middle I get good timing but never get a hit from it..very frustrating. My team batting avg is .202...ill keep plugging away and hope things turn around but even when ur in a slump, I shouldn't be getting shutout that many times.

My main issue with the game is the timing of my batter, maybe its my fault, but a hanging curveball should be hit a long way not fouled off or just missed. It seems like every offspeed pitch (curveball, changeup) I am way too early on the pitch. I am going to up human timing a notch and raise offspeed pitches a notch as well. I hardly draw walks (again it could be me). The rest of the game plays well, but my offensive output (or lack of) needs a lot of work.

So far, I've played 7 post patch games with these wonderful sliders. Small sample size but:

                      Loss 6-2
                      Win 8-2
                      Loss 2-0
                      Loss 5-2
                      Win 5-4 in 12 innings
                      Loss 5-1
                      Loss 8-1

I'm playing with my Braves so several losses in there. As there should be. But as you can see by the scores, there are both high and low scoring games for both me and the CPU. Again, small sample size, but I'm happy with it. Now, if I can get get my Bravos on a winning streak. LOL!

Gents with the help of JoshC1977 we have been doing some intense great testing

We are pretty excited right now as we hone into and finalize what we feel will be a final slider set that will give you a truly balanced game Not only for just hitting and pitching (which we feel is perfect now) but we are oh so close to getting errors and base stealing locked down!!

A few more games and I will roll out my final set.

                        V4 is forth coming.

I will also give some of you suggestions for the smallest tweaks id needed.

Everyone plays different and has different levels of skill pitching, hitting and also on the strategy of how to steal successfully.

Stealing is no joke and takes great strategy and skill this year in knowing the counts, the pitcher, the quirks, the runner.

                        Trust me.

Yeah maybe some of my issues is a by product of the nerfed sound of the ball being hit giving off the impression that everything is hit weakly, who knows but I do know that my offense went in the toilet against a very mediocore Miami Marlins pitching staff. I know baseball is a game of streaks one way or the other and that doesn't bother me at all it's when I see things that are just fundamentally off like hard hit grounders losing so much velocity through the infield that what should have been a single up the middle turns into a routine groundout. After upping the power slider for myself 1 click it seems to play better, finally was able to take a hanger and deposit it over the LF wall with Nelson Cruz and it wasn't on of those moonshots, was a line drive that scraped over the wall. I'm sitting at 9-7 with Seattle so losing isn't a problem nor was it the driving force to change things.
