I find it interesting that all of this talk is now about moving up to HOF pitching, because for the last eight games or so, I can't get anyone out on AS. I think I have lost seven games in a row and have given up double digit runs in the majority of those. I would think the CPU has to be hitting 350 in those games.

That's what I love about Armor's sliders. They play well to most us gamers. A few tweeks to suit your comfort if needed. It is really a great base set. I for one know Armor has way better skills then myself, so its nice to see his work great for AS and for those (like Armor) they can bump to HOF and be just as satisfied. His set I can say for certain is a long game set. It isn't a series or two. At the end of the season, is really where his set shines. Every game is a battle and that is what makes it great.

I keep considering HOF then I watch James Paxton go out and give up 6 runs over 3 innings in route to a 7-1 loss and think "maybe I'm not ready yet" lol.

Now that the loss of Cano is out of my system I can charge forward towards the cellar of the AL West division lol, I've got a plan of action but it's like a band aid over a gun shot wound so it won't save the season unfortunately.

Hey Chef, Well, if you gave up six runs in only three innings with Paxton....but then only give up one more run the rest of the game....Maybe it is how you pitch with him? I know I dread the starts with Arrieta because I don't pitch that well with him

If you pitch on HOF make the following adjustments to both Gameplay and Quick Manage sets:

CPU contact to 5
Hum consistency and control to 4

Incredible difference for me pitching on HOF.

A much needed jump in difficulty for me personally.

Armor just checking on Sim set...I notice human and cpu starter stamina down to default 5 ...is this accurate or a typo ..I remember u saying something about leaving the stamina the same for both sets but just changing injuries for the Sim set...just trying to clarify before the release of osfm 2.5 thanks sir

I use metered pitching with these sliders and they also work well...Has anyone made the jump to Hall of Fame using metered pitching? I might try it tonight.

I assume that the sim set should be at 5 for both as it shows a -1 & -2 decrease from 6 & 7.

Anyone else playing quick pitch? I find that on all-star I'm getting crushed but mostly due to the pitch count I start with. Should I look at a different set?

I think it was more because Paxton had that dreaded snowflake next to his name more then anything. He was pitching just fine to start the season and was my second best pitcher but the last 2 starts have been abysmal. He has the best k/9 on my team and his BAA against is solid he's just hitting a rough patch at the moment. Now Chris Heston on the other hand is a dumpster fire but my only other option at the moment is Yovani Gallardo and I have less faith in him so it is what it is. Drew Smyly is my tough luck loser with a 1-4 record but pitching solid, Iwakuma is tied for the AL lead in wins and Felix is turning back the clock and pitching like a Cy Young winner but the offense is about to take a major dump and my rotation isn't anything special outside of Felix and Iwakuma.

I also think my biggest issue with Paxton is he's been left in after clearly showing he doesn't have it that day as I refuse to drain my bullpen completely so a lot of the time I'll force a guy to stay out there and take his lumps to save my bullpen for another day and eat the loss. It might not be the most realistic I suppose but I don't want a bullpen of dead arms heading into a series when I won't have a day off for over a week and I've only got 1 true innings eater in my rotation.

Do you have any decent relievers with options at AAA? You could run a SEA-TAC bullpen shuttle. I run one between Scranton and the Bronx in my franchise and it helps.

The only adjustments you make pitching on HOF is:

CPU Contact to 5

Human Control and Consistency - 4

On the quick manage set....same thing’s are changed.

The difference between the quick manage set from the gameplay set (assuming you make the changes I told you to for HOF pitching) is

Starting pitcher stamina is 5 for both CPU and HUM and injuries are at 5

Has anyone else started to suck at this game. Wtf has happen to me lol. I have lost 8 straight and have only scored 9 runs in 8 games. I can't hit anymore. It doesn't matter if I have pitching on rookie I still would lose lol. I went from 9th in the league in hitting through the first 2 months to 22nd. Grrrrrrrr
