I'm playing with these currently on Legend and getting some awesome baseball. I thought cranking the errors up to where you have them would produce some ridiculous fielding but it's been quite the opposite. On default the CPU had a team of gold glove fielders now it's so much more realistic! I don't know what made you try the error settings so high but it's fantastic. Not only do the commit realistic errors but they have the ball kick off them at times and it's seemed to unlock a bunch of super cool animations. Kudos!

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Hey Mike, might not be the best place to ask, but I have always played directional or timed. Ever since triple play 2003. I realize these sliders work for both, but I am considering trying out zone. Do you or any other people who use zone just keep the PCI in a spot or do you react to the ball? I'm soft on zone strategy, but considering how much I like your sliders and how I seem to get different results than most on directional, I'm thinking about making a switch.

      Thanks for the help.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

          Hey Mike,

4 game sample so far, pure analog, HoF hitting, Legend pitching

Sliders are playing great for the most part a couple of observations:

CPU can't seem to score runs..... getting hits but not scoring for one reason or another. I'm giving up about 9 hits a game but only about 1.5 runs... in the majors it's about 2 hits per run give or take.

CPU making too much contact especially on really bad pitches. I'm only getting about 10% swing and misses. Ironically most of the strikes and Ks are looking......

HR/game too high for me but small sample

CPU making some really stupid base running decisions which is contributing to point number 1. (It's starting to seem this one might be a bug.)

All other numbers are pretty much in line with the benchmark from page 1

          Keep up the great work!

          Cheers

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Mike Lowe : this is for you ! I've been playing with only your sliders on 17' & I've watched your YouTube live w/ Ridn- thank you for your commitment and excellence..

I have one question for you:
I play on HOF overall using your 2.0 sliders. I've had great variety in the last 7 games I've played
            4-3 me
            4-1 me
            0-6 CPU
            7-1 me
            10-4 me (17 hits
            5-6 CPU
            1-2 CPU (4 hits)

Sorry for the lack of detail I'm not on my system to look at extensive stats.

Back on topic I love the hit variety I have one issue with what I'm trying to mold for my liking..

I don't think the CPU or users when they hit balls (as I watch real MLB games I am seeing balls exit speeds on fouls and base hits / grounders around the 110-123mph range..

I want to creat that pop in game. The mix of fielder speed and weak hits "create hits in shallow outfield & down lines. While I like that!
I don't fear the CPU enough. I also don't like how some balls are sharply hit but die in outfield (overall lack of mph)

I'm afraid if I up [solid hits] it will turn into extra base hits and them gap liners..

CPU/human power could be upped ..
In my franchise I'm currently 16th in homers with Indians. So I don't necessarily want to mess with power if I don't have too..

Any advice? I'd just like to add sharper contact on most hits without jeopardizing the soft hit variety of bouncers/choppers/bloops/and jammed fight offs

As I look at team stats
With my Cleveland Indians chise (9-4)

              BA: .249 16th
              Runs: 65 4th = 5 per game
              Hits: 117 11th = 9 per
              Doubles: 25 9th =1.9 per
              Triples: 6 1st = .9 per
              HR: 18 5th = 1.38 per

              BB: 51 11th = 3.9 per
              Strikeouts(while hitting) : 77 2nd fewest
              OBP: .328 14th

              Errors: 7 23rd
              Era: 3.00 5th
              Hits allowed: 108 14th = 8.3 per
              Runs allowed: 43 6th =3.3 per
Hrs allowed 8 1st (lowest allowed)
              Bb allowed: 28 1st = 2.2 per
              K's: 125 3rd = 9.6 per

I think ur 10/0/7 sliders are the best to sim with. I should not have increased SP stamina. now, I am going to chop them down to lower IP. how many appearances are you getting for RP's with default stamina and what is ur injury slider ?

                thank you

Rangers-Mariners game just now finished, and if anyone has any qualms about injuries--just ask the Mariners how they feel. They had two pitchers get injured in the same inning!!

If you feel the need, all I'd do is raise CPU solid hits one notch. Power up a notch may be what you're hoping to see, but I felt it was creating too much of an increase to groundball speed which seemed unrealistic when I tried CPU power at 6.

I'm going to play about 10 more games with your sliders you dropped post patch.. see what those changes feel like. Again I thank you for your work. This is a brilliant set. I even enjoy my CAP player lock franchise in CF with these very much. I'm liking human timing zero'd at or up 1 click.

Mike, I remember a while back, you figured out that moving the long relief guys out of those spots in the bullpen and into the middle relief roles, it would help with the sim stats. Is that still a thing or have recent patches fixed this?
