thx for the info and thanks god he's ok. For sure I know him and his story around all his contribution to OSFM and The Show in general. Can understand you can get sick of certain comments here. But at the same time it's a minority who can be loud at times so I understand he gave up.

He may still be around like a ghost who can't quit the house he lived for so many years if you can read this where you are now, cheers for everything you've done so far ;-)

I've tried skimming through all the posts and probably overlooked it, but what difficulty should this be set to or does it matter since it's CPU vs CPU?

        It doesn't matter.

Dynamic or All-Star is best for CPU vs CPU and it DOES make a difference.

Oh, sorry. I thought I had read somewhere in the thread that it didn't. Apologies.

Any chance Nomo returns and completes a slider set for '18? If not on here, where can I find them? I love his work.

Houston is building off of Nomo's work for this season. I've been using them and they're playing very well so far. I'd love to see Nomo back, but if he isn't there's a good option.

By no means am I trying to take over the great job Nomo has done for you MOM guys for years. He is much more in depth and knows a thing or 2 about this game.

I simply just took his already great sliders from MLB THE SHOW 17 and gave them my own personal preferences. I could never attempt to do the extensive testing that he has done for years.

I have a lot of respect for the testing and breakdowns he offers everyone.

If he returns and I hope he does then he can pick up where he left off, but if he chooses to pass on this years game then hopefully I at least give you a backup option.

Looking forward to trying them out. I'll post final box scores as I get them.

I'll post a new thread, but I've been running the same test that nomo has been doing for years for MLB 18.

You can find the document here:

                        https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

I've started on the default sliders, and they're much closer than they have been out of the box in years.

I can't promise that I will be able to commit the thousands of hours that nomo has done, but I'll certainly make the game feel like it's right as best as possible.

Well, I don't appreciate someone stealing a thread title I have been using for years......

I may post the slider again this year (though not sure the next year), but as usual, I am pretty methodical and have never been quick to create a thread.

All apologies and credit where its due...I didn't intend to hijack years of your work. Just trying to continue the tradition.

Been hoping you would say that, Nomo. Looking forward to it. I just assumed you weren't doing it this year and passed the torch to him. Guess one shouldn't assume. For someone like me that is a baseball numbers guy, I love the detail you go into while testing and explaining. I've learned a ton from your posts about sliders. Can't wait to see this years!

You didn't intend to hijack his work but you copied his thread exactly to give precisely that impression. If you're proud of your work then let it stand on its own, don't try and take someone's tag line to fool us into clicking on it. I've been using Nomo's work for years and was disappointed to see his tag line taken by someone without asking. Instead of giving apologies and credits, why don't you erase your tag line and start your own? Be proud of your work and let it stand on its own. Let us decide whether your work is worthy or not. Sorry for the rant but after years of work by Nomo, he deserves better. And by the way, you can't "continue the tradition" of something that is ongoing, what you did was steal someone's intellectual property for your own glorification.
