It is very hard for me to make broad based suggestions without knowing how you play the game. Gotta be honest folks.

Anyway answer those questions first for me.
I play 100% of everything at the major league level. I don't use the exact slider settings you have, as I had originally bumped up fielder reaction and speed because it felt a little too sluggish - but I'm willing to go back so long as the CPU's offense becomes more balanced. I also use these in exhibition (not sure if that affects the results too much).

I am hitting on HOF, pitching on Legend. Pitching on HOF was too easy once I settled in and I never gave up any HR's to the CPU (I was at 3 total through 100 IP).

Changes I made to the OP:

Human Power at 6 (I've since lowered that to 5).
CPU power at 6 (Lowered to 5).
Fastball Pitch Speed 5 (Thinking about raising to 6)
Offspeed Pitch Speed 6 (Thinking about raising to 7)
    Fielding Errors Infield 6
    Fielding Errors Outfield 5
    Throwing Errors Infield 6
    Throwing Errors Infield 6
    Fielder Run Speed 5
    Fielder Reaction 4
    Steal Frequency 5

Gotta go 3/3 on that fielder speed and reaction. That is the key element to the entire set.

Your pitching on Legend and getting mashed. Interesting.

But only three HR’s in 100 innings on HOF that is crazy!

CPU power and contact down to 4 and CPU solid hits down to 4

That is where I would start to try and cure your pitching woes on Legend.

I'll definitely try that out. It was really weird pitching on HOF. I definitely wanted to get punished for mistakes and they just never ended up happening. Totally did last year with your set but not this year. Thanks for the input.

Well although that is an outlier type of number (100 innings 3 HR’s) it is 10 games.

I would in my opinion go back to HOF pitching and give it another 15-20 games for a sample size.

To be honest 50-60 games will give you a decent sample (think about it, you are going to play all 162 like I am).

Baseball is a funny game but one thing is for sure....over 162 games moat things revert to the mean.

You will have career years for guys you would not expect (which to me is exciting as hell). But at the end of the season your numbers will be fine. Never perfect, by more importantly having fun.

I would try HOF for a lot longer though in franchise. And yes it does make a difference as far as modes. Franchise you have player morale and hot and cold streaks galore.

Let me know how things are going after you finish the month of June.

In the meantime I am fast approaching finishing the month of May in my Year 2 Yankees franchise.

It has been an amazing season so far and anything less than a 28th championship will be a failure for me. My lineup is freaking stacked.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 18 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

Using your sliders for my Reds franchise.

Opening Day against the Nats. Luis Castillo was filthy for me, getting nine strikeouts in six innings. Ran into trouble in the 4th inning when Harper and Zimmerman went deep back to back to give the Nats a 3-0 lead. I answered back in the bottom of the inning when Peraza got our first hit of the day and Votto followed with a 2-run jack.

Scherzer was dealing and keeping me off balance, and the Nats tacked on an insurance run in the 7th. The Nats bullpen couldn’t hold it, giving up a run in the 7th and Solis loaded the bases in the 8th with no outs.

Unlike the real life Reds, Scooter Gennett pushes across two runs to put us into the lead with a clutch base hit. Just like the real life Reds, Scott Schebler hit into an inning ending double play, preventing the big inning.

Iglesias was shaky in the 9th, allowing the first two hitters on, but pitched out of the jam to earn his first save.

I have not uploaded them yet. They take less than 30 seconds to input.

I will upload them tonight though.

Both teams scored a run in the 8th (Astros had the bases loaded with no outs but could only get 1 run). Jansen then closed it out in the 9th for the Dodgers.

Game 3 will be live in a few minutes.

Game 3 finished in an 8-3 win for the hometown Astros.

Quintana started on the mound for Houston and had great control for 5.2 innings before he got into some trouble.

George Springer, killer of Lefties, lived up to that reputation hitting 2 mammoth HRs (both 400+ft) to help the Astros to the victory.

The Dodgers had chances against an unusually shaky Houston bullpen the best of which came in the top of the 7th. Down 7-3 they loaded the bases with no outs but didn’t manage to score any runs after Hector Rondon came in and pitched brilliantly to get out of the jam.

Brian McCann hit a solo shot in the 8th to cap off the win and put the Astros back ahead in the series 2-1.

Game 4 should be live in the next couple hours or so.

The last 5 games I've given up 6 runs total and dropped my ERA a whole point to 4.3. We're now about 23rd in the league. The ebbs and flows are amazing. As good as my pitching has been, I'm hoping it swings back again because it will just show how amazing and unpredictable this game truely is.

Yea, same here. My Blue Jays started off hot and I was tied for first in the division half way through the first month. Last week or 2 I was average and then bottomed out to start May, finishing 7 games back of New York.

Last series now before the end of May and I am 0.5 games up on the Yankees for first in the AL East after I had a hot two weeks, while NY lost bad to Oakland, KC and Seattle.

Are you indeed moving FB pitch speed to 5 and Off-speed to 6?

Yankees 8 game winning streak was snapped with an 8-4 loss to the Rangers.

It was 8-1 heading into the top of the 9th when their reliever Jeffers walked Judge and Stanton back to back then served up a main street fastball to Gary Sanchez who promptly deposited it into the LF bleachers for a mammoth 3R HR to make the score respectable.

The Yankees got bad news as they had to place SS Didi Gregorious on the 10 day DL with Knee tendonitis. Didi was playing through it but following the 8-4 loss his knee was swelling up and had to be drained.

2B Jorge Mateo was called up and Recently re-acquired SS Gleyber Torres will get the starting call at SS on Didi’s absence.
