Just tried those 2 changes. Cpu vs Cpu Yankees beat the Astros 7-2 . Verlander struggled as he was lifted after 5 1/3 giving up 6 earned . Severino dominated pitching a shutout thru 7 1/3 while striking out 12 and walking 3 . Yanks trio of Judge Stanton and Sanchez powered the Yankee attack with homeruns .

MK, you were my go to on X-Box 360 for MLB2K. I'm about to start a second franchise, and will be plugging these in.Comment

Re: mkharsh33 MLB The Show 18 - simulation sliders
I have tried using Armors and I just don’t get a good feel with Hall of Fame hitting. It is too much weak contact with Hall of Fame and I can’t strike out enough on all star. So I been using these sliders for my 2nd franchise with the Yankees.
I been using these offense sliders and your CPU pitching control and consistency and using Armors sliders for pitching. I have tried using these for pitching but I don’t walk enough batters. I also use quick counts.
Here are so stats from my season so far.
Yankees are 34-17
Avg: .277
HR: 83 (1.6 per game) getting lower since dropping user solid hits down to 6.
Strikeouts: 8.5 per game
BABIP: .320 (getting lower since lowering solid hits)
Walks: 3.6 per game
Extra base hits: 10.1% of AB
Hit Distribution
Singles: 63.4%
Doubles: 17.6%
Triples: 1.9%
HR: 17.1%Follow me on Twitch

Re: mkharsh33 MLB The Show 18 - simulation sliders
I'm tinkering with something...
- human solid hits raised back up to 6 (from 5)
- cpu solid hits down to 7 - and I MIGHT try 6 - but gonna stick with 7 for awhile (lowered from 8)
- cpu pitch control raised up to 4 (from 3)STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: mkharsh33 MLB The Show 18 - simulation sliders
I updated the OP with the what I'm currently using 1/28/19.
I find some things to be frustrating - so I'm zeroing in on cpu pitching. If I take human contact above 0 I can get hits galore. So the user contact and power will stay at 0 & 5. I can foul off plenty of balls provided I leave human timing at 1 - when I put this at 0 I struck out a ton - not even fun. I ended up putting the human solid hits back up to 6 (from 5). At 5 I hit too many pop ups and weak liners to the infielders. So human hitting is set.
Where it gets tricky is the cpu pitching sliders...and cpu pitcher control seems to be the one I can't nail down. When I raised it to 4 I could only get a high of 5 hits. But when I lower it to 3 I feel like I can get too many hits. But then I start tinkering with the human hitting sliders it throws everything out of kilter.
I tried cpu pitcher control at 4 with cpu strike frequency at 3 - but just didn't like it. Felt like it changed the cpu strategy where (as the description in-game says) they would throw a really dumb pitch that became the meatball you'd sit on. So I'm going to work with the setup that I put back on page 1 / post 1 and see how it goes.
If you guys are seeing anything that works for you let me know. But I like the amount of strikeouts I'm getting (both against me and on the cpu). The extra-base hits seem to look good. I've tried a number of pitchers from really solid ones to lousy ones - I want to see a differentiation in them. For those using these I hope you enjoy them. They're not for everyone, but I enjoy this setup of gameplay and am hopeful these are just about finalized (and can be used as a base start for MLBTS 19 when it comes out - as I'll most likely do so). Thanks guys!STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: mkharsh33 MLB The Show 18 - simulation sliders
yes - give me some time to grab my paper notes and post the changes.
EDIT: Page 1 / Post 1 UPDATED - verify your numbers - the only ones that changed were user hitting / user pitching and cpu hitting / cpu pitching sliders. None below cpu pitching were changed. Double-check to verify your numbers.
My problem - I was testing in "play now / exhibition" games and then trying to make that work in Franchise Mode. Big mistake!! In Franchise Mode there are things that play out differently. So I had to use the base ideas, but then really tinker with some things. I then looked at other slider creators here to review a ton of the ideas they implemented and why - and then played a whole bunch of games to see how things played out.
With that said - I just started a 1995 Cleveland Indians Franchise. I'm controlling all 30 teams (using Baumy's outstanding roster). No injuries or trades. Simming all games I'm not personally playing for all other teams.
Game 1: CLE 0 at SEA 3. Randy Johnson did to me what I expected: 8 1/3 IP, 4 hits and 8 K's. My starter was Orel Hershiser who pitched a great game. He gave up a couple hits in to start the 8th inning and I brought in Eric Plunk. And he gave up a 2-run HR to expand a 1-0 deficit to what was the final score.
Game 2: CLE 12 at SEA 4. Dennis Martinez pitched a brilliant game for me going 7+ innings, allowing 4 hits and striking out 7. I let Bud Black pitch the final 2 innings and he surrendered 3 runs on 5 hits. Kenny Lofton went 5-5, Manny Ramirez had 2 doubles, and it was my 9th hitting first baseman, Paul Sorrento, who blasted my first (and only thus far) HR - a 3-run shot to dead center off reliever Bill Risley. Tim Belcher gave up 5 runs in 6 innings, and I then beat up on their bullpen.
The 1995 Indians went 100-44 that season. Albert Belle was the 50-50 man with 52 doubles and 50 HR. So I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out. I'll note my slider updates soon!!Last edited by mkharsh33; 02-02-2019, 05:50 PM.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: mkharsh33 MLB The Show 18 - simulation sliders
I'm still toying with some things. I spent 2 hours doing a fantasy draft franchise and then after the 2nd game it froze on me. I'm ticked. But in that game I struck out 13 times and I struck out the cpu 15 times. ugh... So I don't know. I'm sick of this slider-itus thing. Every game...every year. Frustrating. I think you guys who use these just determine if it's what you really want to use and then just adjust accordingly. The season is over and I'm still screwing around with sliders. I'm an idiot is what I am.....STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

My advice - go default HOF or default Legend and NEVER, EVER look back. Act as if the game doesn't have sliders you can tweak.
MLBTS 18 isn't like the EA Sports games. Slider tuning isn't necessary IMO.
