My goodness these Jays turn into 1 of the scariest lineups in the game . Most of them are ecstatic so that's why the ratings are boosted , but both Smoak and Grichuck had their potentials go up . Smoak was a C and went up to a B , and Grichuck went from a B to A potential . The pitching was where we had some work to do if we are to become a playoff team , and we are looking much better there aswell . We are ranked 11th overall now and slowly becoming the great Jays of the early 90's again . It's just so exciting to see my team develop and make a serious push for the playoffs . It's just so awesome and fun

Maybe I should have been more specific lol I'm currently in late August (1st year) and this is my squad in the 2nd year of August . I just did a quick sim to see how they turn out and how they do in exactly 1 years time. Here they are ranked 6th overall and lead the division by 2 games . I'm currently ranked 11th overall in my 1st year in August . But the ratings aren't that far off regardless , in my 1st year and in August Bichette , Vladdy , Biggio , Gurriel are in the mid to high 80' s rated already and with the morale boost and depending where u put them in the lineup by just shuffling them around they hit the 90's easily if performing well ( All A potential players including Jansen ) . But players like Drury , McGuire , Tellez and Urena haven't gone up at all . Jays have great young talent all around and also depends on what Roster u pick to start the Franchise with

Did I read somewhere that this past year was going to be the last year we’d have a full minors roster put out ? Just trying to make the decision if it’s time to keep playing my franchise or call it a year until next years Mlb the show and possible roster comes out.

I am about to play the last game of the season with the Yankees. We are 109-52, 6 games up from the Red Sox. Who had a 6 game lead on August 1st. The Rays and Red Sox will play in the wild card game. I’m one game behind the Indians for the best record. If I win and they lose we tie and I have the tie breaker because I went 4-3 against them. So I would play the winner of the Red Sox/Rays game. I was 8-11 against the Red Sox and 14-5 against the Rays. Or I will play the Astros who are 90-71. I almost want to lose so I don’t have to face the Red Sox in the ALDS who killed me this year. LOL

As far as I know nothing is confirmed yet. I would assume we won’t know for sure for a while still. Don’t think Ridin has said anything about next year yet.

Is their really a difference $$ wise between a big market and a small market team in the show? It really seems like any team can sign any players. For instance, the real Indians can't afford to keep Lindor, but in the game, I could sign him long term if I wanted.

This is an area of issue for sure, especially if you’re looking for realism. The best way to counter this is using 30 Team control and making realistic moves with the bigger FAs based on real life rumors/info. It takes more time than swimming, but will benefit in the long run with more realistic results.

Not really. And quite frankly, things are more interesting this way.

I mean the Marlins in my franchise made one big splash to compliment their roster of value guys by signing Bogarts.

On another note.....I am starting Year 4 of my Yankees franchise on 19. I am not going to sit around for months waiting for MLBTS 20. In fact I know I have said this before....but this may be the year I skip a version at release and pick it up much later or for free if they offer it on PS Plus again.

I just do not see any changes coming for 20. I really don’t. Unless they unveiled some true “wow” in terms of franchise and presentation....I can sit with 19 for awhile as I truly love it.

I said that about 18 going into 19......but 19's quality of life improvements in franchise in terms of much needed throw urgency, much better ball physics, incredible audio enhancements....I mean right now I am loving 19 so much, have all my SOTS rolling, a plethora of great rosters.....playing 19 until further notice.

We got a new 1987 Yankees franchise going and I am loving it.

Year 4 of my Yankees chise I started back on 17

Going to also play a 1995 (Baumy’s roster) Quest for Donny Baseball season replay concurrently with my multi year 1987 franchise.

So much fun. I also want to do a Bacon fictional franchise so badly. So Have plenty of great video game baseball on 19. And I still have tons of other rosters to keep me busy for years until I move to PS5.

The Show is truly the only sports game I play year round anymore. Madden 20 is shelved for me. In fact I am re-installing 16 yet again to play classic rosters (1986,1990,1999)
