Has very decent contact aswell and is great in the outfield . So excited for this future star

Nice. None of my guys have good steal rating either. I'm guessing that really helps.

I steal quite often with average guys.....hit L2 to indicate you want to steal....you Don't need to take a lead.....hold L1 and your runner will go on first movement. Now you can get picked off so choose your spots wisely....I like to steal on pitchers counts (anticipating an off speed pitch)...but your successful steal percentages should increase to a respectable level

Ok. I'd been holding L2 and letting it go when I want the runner to go. Most times I timed this incorrectly and got thrown out. Or I time it too good once in awhile and am safe by a mile. So if I tap L2 he won't just take off when I release it?

I tried every with no success until I tapped L2 to indicate steal, then held L1 so they go on first movement. Also, I started paying attention and manually sliding, which also helped.....bit just try the tap L2 and then holding L1 first.....you will definitely see a difference in your runners jump

I just went to practice mode and it works great. I'm still new at the Show. Thanks for the tips.

Well I can finally say I broke my 9 game losing streak where I only managed to get 20 hits with 8 runs scored in a big way today . Very 1st inning I hit 3 homers with a total of 6 runs scored and for the 1st time ever I chased the starting pitcher out of the game in the 1st inning ! He was at 39 pitches with 2 outs when they pulled him out of the game , ended up winning the game 10-4 . What a relief !!

Can someone maybe give me some tips/advice to hitting with base runners on 3rd or 2nd base . For example when hitting with a right handed batter facing a rhp where should I aim ? I'm just constantly grounding out or popping out and with base runners on my numbers are awful. Just had 2 games where I got 11 hits in 1 game but only scored 1 run and 2nd game had 10 hits with 2 runs . Majority of my runs come from the home run

I've been experimenting with contact swing in these situations lately and have had success either getting base hits or influence held up and getting a sac fly. I also try to use an influence the batter might have more success with, such as a pull hitter to his pull side and a whole field hitter with no stick influence. I also have my best success when I work the count and get a good pitch. I know this is very basic and you probably already do it but this is what I do. I've been exactly where you are at now. I know how it feels. Shoot my frustration comes from a lack of homers right now. I've been scoring every other way. I really want to jack up the power slider but I'm going to resist the temptation.

Yeah I think best thing for me to do is just dedicate some time in practice mode hitting . Homers seem to be the only thing I can do right lol with players like Vladdy G and Grichuck I just position the left analog stick at 11:30 and they crush away alot actually . I have lots of success doing this especially when in a hitters count and with any player who has got 60+ power. And for left handed batters position the left analog around 12:30 -1 . Have u made any good trades to add some power to ur lineup ?

I started over after making many mistakes and learning from my first Show franchise. I signed Matt Kemp and he has been on fire through 15 games. As long as he is hitting my lineup is so much deeper.

Idk man I'm doing slider testing with my restart after learning the game on my first try and finding out through 85 games that I'm not ready for Armor's sliders for hitting. I was generating some pretty unrealistically bad stats and this prompted the restart. But part of me wants to go back to it now that I'm improving at the game.

I've been there as well , when I first played the show 19 I went with JoshC1977's all star sliders but then as I improved I just needed a better challenge so had to restart and start with these sliders on Hall of Fame. It's best to just stick with it and endure the ride for better or worse .

I've been there man - you're trying too hard....pure and simple. You're trying to do too much in those situations.

Unless I am down late in the game, I go stick neutral (sometimes I'll go down on the stick) and REALLY try to wait for a pitch to drive (the CPU is very good at tempting you early in the count with a crap pitch). The clutch ratings of your players can really factor into the equation in those situations and if they're not great, trying too hard with swing influence is going to bite you in the butt. Of course, like everyone else, I get in funks where I am trying to uppercut every god-blessed pitch...it very predictably goes badly. But in general, simplifying the approach is the way to go.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

100% ur right . It's like I start to panic and just over think everything when I got base runners in scoring position , I have no idea what to do anymore . I also ground out into double plays frequently as well . I'll go a few games without using any stick influence and see how it goes
