I had Arenado get hurt a few games ago so I called up one of their top prospects Brendan Rodgers and he’s been on a tear. He’s hitting around .380 in his 5 games with a double and RBI. He’s a shortstop but I’ve been playing him at 3rd and he’s been lights out. It’ll be hard to send him down or sit him once Arenado comes back. I’m also figuring out who’s reliable out of the bullpen, which for a few games was nobody lol.

Good to know. I’ll stick with the Rockies than too. Should get around to starting their franchise this weekend. Thanks for the update

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

I've been playing around with these since launch, probably played around 10 full exhibition games , another 10-15 through several innings, and have now started a Giants franchise.
And I have to say, I'm getting womped on. I'm like 3-9 as a player, the team is like 30-32 right now, good for 4th place in the NL West. The Rockies are MLB's #1 ranked team right now, and second place Padres are only like 3 games back. Even the 3rd place Dodgers are something like 6 games ahead of me into June.

Needless to say, just like in real life, it's looking like this season is lost. I'm woeful on offense. Something like 29th in Power, 30th in speed, and can't seem to buy a hit or HR to save my life.
It's tricky knowing how much of that is real life Giants roster woes and is accurate, and how much is me sucking. I've been playing The Show since 2012, so I'm fairly experienced, so I'm thinking it's my roster more than anything else.

I did have decent draft through I think, and will looking to shed some of these awful contracts and bring in some younger talent for a rebuild. MadBum, Longoria, Panik, and Cueto are all on the chopping block I'm afraid.

We'll see what happens with new slider adjustments and some new roster moves, but I feel like I'll be simming a majority of games for the remainder for the season.

I just started a road trip in SF against the Giants and boy did my ERA need to get out of Coors Field for a while. My pitchers were getting crushed, although I was on a pretty nice offensive tear for those few games. Definitely going to have to learn how to pitch at Coors.

Being that he is 30.....that will be a bargain for 2 seasons....and then the rapid decline will start happening and it may not look like a great bargain......but still we all know....this is an area that needs some real under the hood attention.

But look at his numbers.....not elite 25MM dollar numbers there.

Was it amusing he went to the enemy? LOL.

Franchise mode needs some love....but despite this...I can’t stop playing this game!!!!

Last night played a couple of games. A Year 3 Yankees game then a Year one Fictional A’s game. I love the incredible contrast of those two franchises, atmosphere, animations....it's a beautiful thing.

Fictional and classic rosters hav a totally different feel than OSFM modern day rosters. Its awesome.

Year 3 Yankees update on the OP as well!

Is it me, or is classic pitching giving anybody else a hard time with accuracy? I have control on 5 and I feel like kluber and Bauer even have a hard time hitting corners

Oh I love this game. It's a great deal early on.

It was amusing after the Cardinals thing over the winter. That's all I was getting at.

I am working on a fictional roster myself though I am in the early stages of it. Bacon's is awesome though I will say as well!

My budget franchise isn't to check what is bad with budgets, more for me to get a gauge on who becomes a free agent when, etc.

I believe in making your franchise it's own universe....but, being a Cubs fan, I wonder how it was rationalized that Bryant ended up in that uniform

Well Bauer is hardly a control artist so that seems about right. Kluber is tougher for me to personally assess as I’ve never pitched well with the guy...I’m guessing he’s a guy you need to button tap more with rather than a more standard ‘midway to the rumble” release one uses on classic for many guys.

I’m also new to learning classic too, so I’m sure that has a lot to do with it. I notice sometimes if I had pitch feedback on it will say “late” sometimes or “early”

Does that apply to user input at all?

If you are struggling to hit for power or just in general struggling to hit.
                        Give Armor's 3 o'clock 9 o'clock LS hitting strategy a try, it works.
He explains in all on front page and it really does work!!!
I started using it last night and in 3 games I hit the ball way harder than I have on this years game. I hit 5 HRS in the 3 games and 4 of them were bombs!

All they need to do is give 30 team control users the ability to approve/deny trades and signings before they happen and I would be happy.

I miss being able to view the pending trades for all teams and remove the unrealistic ones.
