If I raise Power to 6, should lower Solid Hits to 4 each to compensate right? I don’t want to cause a massive offensive explosion, only want to see an increase in HR/9 on each side.

I think you can leave solid hits where they are. Ive been playing with Power at 6 for both as well. Its playing well for me. I'm also still using Human Pitch Control at 4 and CPU Solid Hits at 4. I never liked CPU Solid Hits at 5, but if you do then moving power up to 6 shouldn't effect it too much.

I am using the Full minors OSFM rosters. What rosters have you gone with Money? I think this matters when it comes down to ratings and how particular players perform. Great start to your season, Keep it rolling! By the way Betances has a 40+ ERA going. Ouch
I’m using the Full Minors roster as well. Not sure if an updated version has been put out but I’m using the first one if so.

My bullpen has been great. Ottavino 4.50 ERA but everyone else under 3.50. Betances and Chapman have yet to allow an earned run.

I was hit too....on the field with injuries at 9. Also Gleyber had a week long issue from pre-game warm ups. So I have been seeing them as well.

I just got Arenado back after missing 10 games, and he doubled in each of his first two at bats in his first game back. I’ve also had a few guys with the famous pregame warmup injury (thought warmups were supposed to prevent injury?) and I had to take my pitcher out in the 3rd inning earlier as he hurt his arm fielding a bunt. Thankfully I haven’t been completely decimated by injuries.....yet.

I've been at 5 as well, and just in the first 6 games of my Twins season, I lost Sano for 2 months and Buxton for the season with a ruptured achilles. The last several games since, I had a couple of those "pre-game" injuries pop-up, but nothing severe....but man did losing those two guys (especially Buxton) hurt. That said, boy does it create some intrigue though....

My theory as to the lack of injuries is the IL is only allowed to have a max of 5 players on it. so their is a code in the game that says. a chance of injury can only happen throughout a season so many times. because of this.

extended rosters would solve this issue. you can't do a yankees and have 15 players on the IL

How about for those of us on All-Star hitting? Are your 2.0 sliders still the recommended starting point / most recent for that difficulty?

Hey everyone, I know this is a slider thread but I was hoping some of you more seasoned MLB The Show players can answer some of my questions below

Keep in mind I am brand new to MLB The Show lol

                      1. Can someone explain to me more in depth the potential ratings (A,B,C,D)? I'm a little confused by what they do exactly in franchise mode and how they affect the player's ratings and how they play long term. Will a 20 year old prospect with C potential ever really become a star or should you stick with worrying about the A and B prospects? Will a B potential rating ever jump to A?

                      2. How long do you guys keep your top prospects down in the minors (AAA or AA) before promoting them to higher levels or MLB? Do you promote them after having a good month? Good half season? Just curious how you guys play it.

                      3. Can someone explain to me the 20-80 ratings in terms of scouting? I'm a little confused how the 20-80 rating scale translates to actual stats.

                      4. Why do player attributes increase/decrease throughout the season? Is it due to training and performance that they increase and age/lack of performance that they decrease?

Any and all help will be very appreciated!

                      Thanks in advance!

You asked in at least three different locations, spamming like that is pretty frowned-upon. I answered you in the appropriate thread.

I have run a 20 year simulation to test stats amongst other things and you get a few outlier stats in BA and home runs but everything as a whole looked great.
