Alright, I cant take it no more. lol
Im 47 games into my franchise, 24-23 with the Reds and I am not hitting near enough HRS. Its been a power struggle for me since day one.
Below are my teams HR totals.
Should I just bump up HUM PWR to 6?
I cant take this lack of power anymore.

      Suarez 8
      Puig 5
      Schebler 5
      Votto 3
      Winker 0
      Peraza 1
      Barnhart 2
      Gennett 4
      Kemp 1
      Deitrich 1
      Casila 1
      Iglaisis 1

      That's it, 32 Hrs in 47 games.
IRL the Red have 39 hrs in 30 games this season.

I think I’m going to have to switch to meter pitching this year.

I’ve used pulse pitching for a few years with great results but this year something is definitely off.

The CPU just won’t swing at anything outside the strike zone (even borderline pitches) with two strikes and if they do it’s foul ball city. Since the game forces me to throw every pitch in the zone my pitchers wind up getting shelled on HOF this year.

I hope there’s better logic when using meter pitching (although I’d rather not) and I’ll be able to strike out some batters or get outs when ahead in the count.

I use Meter. It is exactly as you described it. Very difficult to strike out the CPU this year. I am lucky to have 5-6 in a regular game. I also use Zone hitting and have no power at all. I think I am still to hit a no-doubt-HR.
The Show 18 was perfect with Armours sliders and just little adjustments. This year I can‘t get it going so far unfortunately.

I am having no issues on classic striking out the CPU.

Watch my last stream vs the Giants and Tanka’s complete game shutout.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

Just finished my first full season with these sliders.

As the Giants, we went 68-94, 10-16 as a player. The Rockies, who beat the crap out of me in the regular season, swept the World Series over the Texas Rangers.
Hitting, power, and speed were my Achilles all year. I knew going in it would be a struggle, but I’m actually quite excited by the overall experience. I’ve owned The Show every year since 2012 and always start a Giants franchise, and have made the post season my first year in every game...except this. Which is the realism I’m looking for.
Nearing the All-star break I was only about 6 games back, but a terrible couple of weeks immediately after saw me drop 11 out of 12 games, and fall out of contention. I decided it was time to sell, shed dead weight, and get younger. I traded away Madbum, Cueto, Longoria, and samardzija for raw but talented prospects 18-21 yo with A potential. I had a good draft, with some very solid SPs, and going into the offseason picked up Josh Donaldson on a reasonable 2 year deal, Marcell Ozuno on a 4 year deal, and Jonny Venters for some depth in the pen.

All in all, I’m very interested to see how my prospects come along, and my new additions fare, especially if we can actually get some power and some hits going into 2020.

Im not sure how using meter pitching over pulse is going to make the cpu swing at more bad pitches out of the zone.
I have been getting a more K's recently using pulse.

I’m grasping at straws so I can enjoy this game again. Pitching is more frustrating than fun and not realistic at all for me unfortunately.

These sliders are by far the best on OS. They give you a great balance of realism and enjoyment. There is no doubt in my mind that you can use these for franchise and or RTTS and like what you see.

Hey Armor, nice update on your post. I noticed you said that Judge will be looking at a extension at the deadline. What did you decide to do with the arbitration eligible players? I know you said you will do the number generator for pending free agents. I believe you said 1-25 they will test free agency and 26-100 you will make them an offer.

Question on the offer; do you plan on giving them what they are asking for or are you lowering the offer?

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders

Max effort pitches (holding the button down till the vibration) result in the following:
                              More velocity
                              Less control
A sharper break on breaking pitches
                              Pitches tend to rise more

Minimum effort pitches (tapping the button) results in the following:
                              Less velocity
                              Better control
                              "Loopier" breaking balls (especially curves/sliders
Pitches sink more (due to lower velo) - changeups will pretty constantly wind up in the dirt
In many cases, an "intermediate" duration is optimal. However, you can vary this from pitch to pitch (i.e. like a pitcher adding/subtracting from the speed of the pitch). This is a tremendous way to keep hitters off-balance to help to avoid them getting solid contact/timing.

This is just a basic overview...I'm sure there are more subtleties involved.
Holding and release X at certain points of the motion does have a effect on the pitch.

I’d be content with them just swinging at pitches out of the zone more frequently at this point.

I think what’s really starting to piss me off is the CPU rarely even flinches at the close pitches as if they know it’s a ball before it even leaves my pitchers hand.

It seems others are struggling this year, too, so something has definitely changed.

I’m not expecting the Phillies pitching staff to light the world on fire, but what I’m experiencing is really killing this game for me.
