I agree. It sounds dumb, but you will be amazed what 10-15min of BP can do for you. If ik im struggling ill do BP, log off, then do 10 min of BP again before I play. It works

Ive been playing a lot of road to the show before i start my franchise with the osfm.

I started off terrible batting. Definitely a learning curve this year. Im a few months in and im improving a lot. I havent hit any homers but about 7 doubles and 5 triples.

      Practicing is helping.

Agreed. Also make sure to minimize left stick up swings. The gain in Power is minimal compared to what you lose in Vision. Especially don't hold the stick up with your power hitters (unless you are in dire straights and the ONLY good outcome is a HR. Although you can argue that that scenario doesn't really exist). They don't need the power boost.

In my (very limited) experience, I've actually had more HRs using down stick than up stick. Not many, but more nonetheless.

I have played 20 games on all star hitting using these sliders. They are perfect for me other than hits per game. I am getting and giving up around 15 per game. My average hit total for the year is 12. What is the best slider adjustment for this?

My instinct was to lower contact for both user and cpu to 4. Played two games like this. Won 4-1 with 9 hits and lost 3-2 with 7 hits. Might just roll like this for now and see how it goes.

Idk how invested or how much you emotionally put into each game, batter, pitch. I would recommend doing what you are doing or changing your hitting difficulty to HOF and challenge yourself. Dont give up.

Yup. Left stick swings are reserved for certain hitters and in certain counts. It cant be explained, but you just know

This may sound like a dumb question... but how do you do batting practice?

Thats not dumb at all.... once the game loads hit R1 3 times to select mini modes. At the bottom of the screen is "custom practice." Once it loads, pause the game and select "create play". Scroll up or down to change from batting or pitching. There is more to it than that, but those are the basics if you want BP. Its over complicated, but there you have it

If you have any further questions just ask and either I or someone else will answer them. Baseball is hard and I like to see everyone succeed.

To add to this. If you are in RTTS, you can click on the current day on the calendar and one of the options is batting practice.

The OP has been updated. Version 1.5.

                          What has changed?

Baserunner speed moved up to default 5 (from 4)

OF Arm Strength moved up to 6 (from default 5)

The +/- in the () indiactes how much the value changed from the previous slider set version.

                          Enjoy.

I put a lot into each season. Play every pitch of every game. I like the changes I am seeing with contact at 4 each batter. Currently 2-1 up against the Giants in the 8th. 7 hits myself to 6 hits CPU. Very even game all around.

Having a blast using these sliders in postseason mode. Definitely having no power outage from either side. (Thanks Coors?)

Just to clarify... when you say when the game loads, do you mean an actual playable game or do you mean when the main menus come up?
